A Begging a Muddle and an End

This book is a great-but confusing type of book. Avi wrote this book, he is one of my favorite authors. It's  kind of an adventure book but it's also not.
A Beginning a Muddle and an End has two characters: Avon the Snail and Edward the Ant. Avon is the one who is writing a story. Edward is the one who gives lots of "helpful" ideas. You see, Edward thinks that Avon should write something on his paper and that "something" is the word that Avon writes-but what next? So now Avon the snail only has "something" on his paper. Edward and Avon talk a lot, that explains all of Edward's "great" idea's. They both go on lots of adventures while talking, playing pranks, and, of course, eating.
The reason I like this book is because it's very detailed, wise, clever, and has tons of humor written in the depths of the pages. As Avi, the author of this fantastic tale, said on the cover of the book: "It's the Right Way to Write Writing"- and he was right.
P.S. I definitely give this book a "two thumbs up!"-Read it! I dare you!

  1. Audrey,

You've written a good response here. To make it even stronger, could you provide evidence from the text about "it's very detailed, wise, clever, and has tons of humor written in the depths of the pages?" An example here would really hook your reader! Also, will you take a minute to look at, and edit the title? When I look at the cover of the book, I notice punctuation in the title.

Hey, great job adding the cover image to your post, too! Kudos!
