Ben and Me

Ben and Me is a inside story of Benjamin Franklin, from a mouse's point of view. Some things you find in this book will suprise you, and the author's imagination makes you consider things.

I realized while reading this that if Benjamin Franklin read this he would not be happy. I also noticed that this is a good book to read before bed, it's very cozy. My Nonie gave me this book and, as a matter of fact, she's coming this week!

Sammy Keys and the Art of Deception

I am reading the first Sammy Keys book in a book club. When I am reading this book I ask myself a lot of questions. Then, later in the book I answer them. I am at the part in the book when Sammy stays at her grandmother's apartment but there are no kids allowed so when anyone comes to her grandmothers apartment, and she has to hide. I would not like it if I went to my grandmother's apartment and there was no kids allowed. Sammy is the mistery type of girl. I would rate this book a 8 because I like other books a littel bit better but if you like mistery books then you should read this book.

Wizards at War

Wizards at War is the 8th book in the Young Wizard Series. I am finding this book very interesting because even though Diane tells you that their world is going to end, she doesn't put it in your face all the time.  Another thing I find interesting in this book is that all the wizards from the last several books are coming together. I have just come to a twist in the story that I think is unfair to the main characters. Then again, who said life was fair?

So far I think that if Diane had to stop writing these books this would be a great place.
The thing is, this book raises some questions. For example, will the two adult wizards get their wizardry back? Why are only the adult wizards losing their wizardry? If the adult wizards do get their wizardry back, how will they get it back? If they don't get their wizardry back, how will this affect the main characters? I guess this wouldn't be a good place to stop the series after all!

So far I would rate this book a 10 for the adventure and the feeling that you have to continue readnig.  I have said that these books make you want to continiue to turn the pages. I think that might be the reasons these books sell so well.

Gasparilla

Gasparilla is about a spanish navy midshipman who becomes one the most famous pirates ever. Jos'e Gaspar was origanally a very well educated boy with wealthy parents. He's mother taught him five languages, she was very well educated. He's father was a famous captain in the spanish armada. Jos'e's childhood was fun, educational, and overall good.

He's childhood ended the day he disgraced his family, ( you'll have to figure out how he did so ) and he was sent of to the navel academy. The woman who took care of him was named Maria Gonzalez. Jos'e was extremely sucsessful in the navey.

Jos'e's skills led him to victory after victory. Though he eventually started a confederation of pirates near the southwest of florida( I visited one of the islands this week ). While I was reading this book I noticed the supiriority in the storyline of this book.
The events in this book make me smile with pride.

Watership Down by Richard Adams

Based on stories told by the author to his kids while on long car trips, this is the story of a warren of rabbits which is forced to leave its ancestral home and their journey to find a new one. This is an epic novel full of memorable characters and a tension filled, twisting, and sometimes very humourous plot. There are heroes both reluctant and unexpected, surprise allies and a great villain. In this book, the author has created a fully imagined rabbit world complete with language, legends and religion.

Watership Down is a story of survival, heroism, trust, loyalty and how, if given a chance, anyone in a group can play an important role. Characters include Bigwig, the biggest and strongest rabbit in the group, General Woundwort, the warren arch nemesis, Kehaar, a stranger who becomes a friend, Fiver, the runt, and his brother Hazel, the smartest, who becomes something he never wanted to be, a leader.

High school literature classes study this book for the allegorical nature of its plot, but you can enjoy it as a great story.  This book was made into a very good animated film, but read the book first. I have a copy if anyone wants to borrow it.

Star Girl

I just started reading the book Star Girl. So far I love this book! The plot of this book is that there is this new girl, and she is really "weird, awkward, and different." And the book is about everything that happens when the new girl (Star Girl) comes. Now, I'm not far in this book at all, so I can't really say too much about anything.

When I read this book, I have many different voices in my head. "Why won't he put Star girl on Hot Seat?" or "I bet that at the end of this book, they will become friends," and sometimes "OH MY GOD!"

In the book, everyone says that she is so weird, but that doesn't make it right to just completely avoid her. I mean, in the book she is all alone, and nobody even wants to get close to her. But I think that they should put aside her differences, and actually get to know her before thinking of her as a "freak," or "weirdo." To me, she seems really kind and creative, but nobody will know that all because they don't like the way she dresses, or acts, and all that stupid stuff! I really hope when this book goes on, that at least someone will get to know her. Star Girl seems like a good person.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Well, I'm not very far in this book but I got some stuff to say. The first time I read it I was thinking, "well, a lot people said that this was the worst book of the series, so should I maybe skip to the 5th?" But then I thought "if I skip, I wont really know what happened". I decided to read iit and the voice in my head was saying "wow, this book isnt all that bad". For right now, I would give it a 7.

The Gruesome Guide To World Monsters

This book is, WAIT hold it! stop. Lets just put it this way, a very gruesome guide to some very gruesome monsters. By reading this gruesome book you will find some very gruesome information. Like for example, the Spunkie (an interesting name for a deadly monster.) Is a small shining light that people love to chase and play with and then it most likey enjoys leading that person of a cliff, KER-SPLAT!!! Heh, heh. This is a great, wicked! Super, sweeeeeeeeeeeet! AWSOME, GrUeSoMe, cool, FANTASTICO book to get the best gruesomely gruesome info (like I said) about the most gruesome freak-shows.
Ilove this book because it has so much detail about the monster's gruesomeness rating, discription, if a 'bloody fists" conversation is fatal or not, location and a survival tip. (Not applicable for if you are a victim of the Spunkie

Iwould rate this a 9.

The Spiderwick Chronicles - The Ironwood Tree

The Ironwood Tree is the fourth book in the series. It's about three siblings: twins, and an older sister. The older sister (Mallory) gets taken away. So the twins, Jared and Simon, try to find her. They end up getting tangled into a huge mess full of extraordinary things that happen. I liked this book because it had a good plot, and a lot of humor. I read it sitting up the whole time with wide eyes. The book had plenty of twists and turns. One minute the people in the story are sitting down trying to figure something out, the next minute they are on the go, trying to out run some wacky creature. I kept on thinking: "Oh my gosh! I can't believe they did that!" or: " This can't be possible!" "How did that happen?!" This book is exciting and a page turner. Try reading it!

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

I just reread this book and now I am rereading the second one. I want to refresh my memory before the 2nd movie comes out, even though it's the movie of the 4th book which I just read. While I was reading this I was thinking, "Oh yeah, I remember this" or "Wow, that's surprising!" So all in all, the book was great to read again. This book really gets into a lot of peoples minds and digs down deep about what they were thinking. At one part, I was crying, and at another, I was laughing which means this book is really well written. Compared to the movie, I'd say it's really different. The movie gets the over all picture but it doesn't get the nitty gritty things that are really important to the plot. Each character has some huge emotion that is really important to them. For instance, Lena, is beautiful and extremely shy and is self-conscious about falling in love. Here is a quote from her; " It makes me so sad that people like Kostas and Bridget who have lost everything can still be open to love... while I, who have lost nothing, am not."

Princess in Waiting

By Meg Cabot
There are 7 or 8 books in the series. This is the 4th book in the series. Mai goes to Genovia for her first as a princess. She has many thoughts on her diary like "I am such a give in" or " I'm the worlds biggest freak" when she really isn't.When I'm reading it I thinking stuff like "why is she saying that?", "she's so stupid", "she must be crazy", and "how could she think that?".

Lou Gehrig

This book is a good book because the book has facts that are real but the other stuff is not real. If you don't know who Lou Gehrig is a baseball player that was on the Yankees. I feel really bad for Lou because he died at the age of 37 years old. You mite have heard the sickness called The Lou Gehrig. It is called that because he was the first person to get the sickness. This book is a sad but good book. If you like baseball books then you should read it or is you like books that tell you about sicknesses then you will like this book. I would give this book an 8 or 9 because it is a good book and it is not my favorite, favorite book but it is areally detaled book. I also really like the ilestrations. You should try to go read this book.

Human Anatomy Made Amazingly Easy

This book by Christopher Hart is an awesome book for people learning to draw realistically. Christopher Hart is a very flowing artist. He has a very wide variation of art from Manga to very detailed sophisticated art books. It's really fun drawing with his book in hand. It is helpful, and now I can draw better noses and man lips. I was always thinking " How long does it take him to draw this stuff ? ". ( Probably longer than whatever I guess ).

Chew On This!

This book is disturbing yet interesting. When I was reading this book I was think stuff like... "wow that is so interesting" and/or "GROSS!" and/or "Wow, I never knew that" and stuff like that. When i was reading this book I had a mental picture that was a little disturbing but like seeing the way that most people would do, normal. I would also think about regular school stuff or after school when there would be a gross part but i would stop for a second and then after I would get better from that gross image and start reading again.

This book is really good! I know that most of the people in our class have read this book because we have this book in our class. I would rate this book a 10 because when i read this book I never want to have a burger again and then the next day i forget and that night my family has burgers!

P.S. Here is a picture of the book cover if you want to read this book and haven't and you cant find the book, here is something to help you find this book:

Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods

You may have heard of the Gregor series. If not, then too bad. It's quite an interesting book. For some reason, even though the warrior is a rager (has the instinct to kill there enemy), he doesn't seem so warrior-like. He gets tired easily, he's mostly a scardy cat (except for when he has the maniacal instinct to kill) and many other unwarrion-like charecteristics. That could be why he always says he doesn't want to be the warrior in all of Sandwich's proficies, but what do I know. I'm in a confusing part at the moment. Gregor just met up with one of his friends that was belived to be dead. They should be so happy to see each other, but Luxa (his friend) seems to be in a junky mood. I stopped at that part (and so did part two of the book) so I'm very curios to get back into the book. I will report back when I have more details...

Star Dust And The Quest For The Egg

First everyone was saying that it was a good book, I started to read and I  thought it was boring so I put it down. I had no other book to read so I thought I should start it again. It was more interesting when I started it again but I found out it got more childish so I stopd and found a beater book. I would Point it to people who like fairs.

Wizard's Holiday

The Wizard's Holiday is the sixth book in the Young Wizard Series. I found this book interesting with some boring parts in between. At some parts I was thinking why is he doing that? Or why do they trust that guy? A lot of the time I was hanging of the edge of my seat wondering what is going to happen next? How are they going to get out of this? I would get in more detail about what I am talking about, but I would be telling you the story by doing so.

I found it interesting how the story moved back and forth between Nita and her sister. Sometimes it annoyed me when that happened because something interesting was about to happen to Nita then the author would go back to Nita's sister.
I wound rate this a 1o because even with the boring parts this book was in detail all the time.

Stargirl

I really like this book Stargirl because it is about a guy named Leo and I was so confused. I said in my head "What! I am confused because It said that this guy named I think it was Alex then it went to a different thing and said this is Leo. I said say what! in my mind. I liked this book because It had a lot of good dialogue and a good plot.

I would give his book a 10 because it is just good written.

Book of Greek Myths

Book of Greek myths doesn't have an author. I love it! It has just tons of Greek myths but it's told so we can actually understand the text. This book also has lots of pretty pictures!

Book of Greek Myths is very good to have if you were to read Percy Jackson and The Olympians. I noticed that people and words refer to Greek myths in real life. A lot more than you'd imagine! For example, there was one story where a mother wants her children to be immortal but since her husband is mortal, her children will be too. So, she tried to burn off the mortal part of her babies but it killed them all. Her last baby survived through the operation, she named him Achilles. Before she could finish, she was caught and she had to flee. The baby grew up to be a hero but his heel was still mortal. Hence the name of achilles heel!

Marin Pet Gazette

I am reading the Marin Pet Gazette. It is a kids news paper that I found on my dower step. I finished reading the news paper today. At times when I was reading it I was reading it I would find an interesting fact. The voice in my head would be out of its mind about how amazing that was. For example when I read that, "Teddy Roosevelt's pets included; Sailor Boy, a Chesapeake Bay retriever; Manchu, a Pekingese; Skip, the mutt; Terriers named Jack and Pete; cats named Tom Quartz and Slippers; Josiah the badger; Algonquin the pony; Eli the macaw; Jonathan the piebald rat; Emily Spinach, a garter snake as well as twelve horses, five bears, five guinea pigs, several lizards and roosters, two kangaroo rats, a flying squirrel, a raccoon, coyote, owl, lion, hyena and a zebra." After I read this the voice in my head was amazed and said,
"Wow and that's amazing!" I really enjoyed this news paper as it talked about all different animals and cool things about the environment. I would really recommend it!

Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul 2

This book is filled with bunch of mini stories. All of the stories are writen by kids around my age. The stories are all very meaningful in different ways. I ma not very far in this book, so i have only read the stories about friendship.

This book is really powerful. When i was reading it, the voices in my head were going wild! "WOW! NOW THATS REAL FRIENDSHIP!" or "why would anyone do that?" I was thinking so much during this book. (My mom said that I was even talking out loud a little.)

Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul 2 was so powerful that it even made me cry. And trust me, I don't cry very often. I began to cry when it was talking about he girl with cancer and how she had no friends, and then she made a good friend. But then she died, and her best friend, found a note written to her about how great of a friend she was and all that mushy, gooshy, stuff. It was really sad to think about... so, i started crying. I was practicly sobbing, but then the story ended, and that was that.

I really love this book so far. Plus, it gives out really great advice. I really reccomend reading it.

The Amber Spyglass

The Amber Spyglass is the third book from the series, His Dark Matirials. It is a very good book so far and I enjoy how there aren't too many knew characters and there still are some old characters. I'm guessing that the new character, Ama, will find something called the Amber Spyglass because in the Golden Compass Lyra finds the alethiometer. In the Subtle Knife, Will who is a knew character finds the Subtle Knife. So now in the Amber Spyglass, Ama is the knew character and the Amber Spyglass could be the tool she finds. This book is a great book and I would rate it a 9 so far. It falls .3 short because I liked the Golden Compass so much and This isn't completely the same as the Golden Compass. But it is similar.

The Twits

The Twits is a very gross book. Mr. Twit has hair everywhere on his body. When he eats he gets food stuck to his beard. He has food stuck in his beard from weeks ago . "I was thinkintg in my head, eww that is disgusting corn beef suck in his beard from weeks ago." "It gave me shivers." Mrs. Twit is a old wierd women she has a glass eye and one time it fell out and it popped right into Mr. Twit's beard it was sitting there like there was a eye in his beard. " I was about to faint when I read that." If you want to read a gross book that might make you faint go ahead, be my guest. GOOD LUCK!!

Say Cheese and Die!

This book of the Goosebumps Sega is one of the best. Its about this boy named Greg who takes frienly good pictures with an old camera but when they come out it is them hurt or dead. Then that happens to the person that is being taken a picture of. I like this book because this book is a good campfire story. It just kind of has a type of creepyness to it thats not to scary, but not to cheesey.I would rate this a 9.

Martin the Warrior

Martin the Warrior is yet another book from the fantastic Redwall series. Martin is a slave to a stoat named Badrang and his crew. This is about Martin, Rose, Brome, Grumm, Pallum and Feldoh accompanied by many other friends. I'm not complaining about this at all, but I've noticed that all of the Redwall books that I've read run along the same plot. Usually what happens is that a warrior goes on a quest to find something or someone to help them save the group of people that is being attacked or tortured by the evil ruler. There are also a few other groups such as the people who are defending themselves from the evil ruler. Then the warrior comes back and defeats the ruler. The really amazing thing that Brian Jaques does is creating completely new charecters (except for the warrior or the main charecter) creates completely new plots and creates many new settings. I might be saying this over and over again, but (unlike me) the author never ceases to suprise me. He has suspense, poetry, good charecter pesonalities and so much more (plus that other stuff that I keep going on and on about.) There are soo many books to read so I don't have to worry about running out of Redwall books for a while. I'd give this book a 10 (seriously).

Shakespeare's Secret

I have read a lot of books , but this book is my favorite of all. This book is about a girl named Hero. That might sound a little strange for a girl name , but in a play by Shakspeare Hero is a girl who is very brave. Why is her name from Shakspeare? Well in the book Hero's father is a Shakspear expert. But that is a very triky job because her family has to keep moving. I would rate this book a 10+.

Star Wars, Boba Fett

This is a book for all you STAR WARS fans. There are 6 books. The books are 'The Fight to Survive' 'Crossfire' 'Maze of Deception' 'Hunted' 'A new Threat' and 'Pursuit'. They are all about Boba Fett and what he does to survive after his father dies. All the books are very intence and have a lot of action. He cant trust anyone and he's just a kid with nowhere to go. His goal is to become the greatest bounty hunter ever, just like his dad. I would give this book a 10 because it draws you in more and more until you finish and HAVE to read the next one.

FLUSH

I just finished the book FLUSH and it was really exciting! Flush is about a boy who's dad gets in jail because he sunk a boat. He did it because the boat was dumping sewage into the water and polluting the water and endangering the animals and the people. The boy comes up with a scheme and tries to prove to all the people that the person who owns the boat is polluting the water. I liked this book because it was fast-paced and action packed. I thought the book had a lot of twists and turns. Which kept me thinking "what's gonna happen next? whats gonna happen next?". The book also had a really good plot and a lot of humor. In the beginning I thought that it was a little bit boring because the dad and the boy would just visit each other in jail and talk. Thats it. Other than that, the book was great! I would suggest you read it!

A Wizard Alone

A Wizard Alone is the 6th book in The Young Wizard Series. I liked this book because it is exciting, page turning, and it is not so scary that you can't sleep at night. In fact, it wasn't even all that scary. No, it wasn't scary. At least, not compared to the other books in the Young Wizard Series. At some parts in the book it was weird, but not scary.

I think that these books are great because there are no dull moments and once you start reading a book you can never put the book down for good. You might put it down for a little while , but you can't help being sucked into it again.

I strongly suggest you read the books in order or you will be very confused. I heard that Mrs. Ritter was going to get some of the books in the series.  I think that the books are getting a little bit less exciting, but not all that less exciting! I would rate this book a 9.

The Hobbit

The Hobbit is about a simple little hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins ( small, short creature with hairy, callused feet that resembles a man ) that has never left home and has no intention of doing so. One day a wizard by the name of Gandalf comes by, talks to him and leaves.
The next day 13 dwarfs and Gandalf show up and let themselves in. They tell him that the lead dwarf's ( Throrin Oakenshield )grandfather's treasure has been stolen by a huge dragon named Smaug, and they want him to help them get it back.
Bilbo is reluctant at first, but Gandalf gives him no choice. While I was reading this I noticed how cozy and childish I felt.  This book is not confusing, but it can be if you don't pay attention.

East

East is an interesting book. It also has a really great plot. This is a really hard book to explain but basically, it's about a girl named Rose who finds herself being held captive in a castle by a polar bear. I still don't know why though. This is a really good book because the author did a great job with detail so it's not like they're saying "The grass flowed in such grace that it looked as if there were, Blah, Blah, Blah!" She also wasn't going "Then, Rose died and then her mother moved away, Yada, Yada, Yada!" She also leaves me on a cliff hanger and makes sure that the unecspected happens!

I would deffenetly rate this book a 10!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I think, that Diary of a Wimpy Kid is either one of my favorite books (like I say in almost all of my posts) or my-just plain favorite book. It's about this "wimpy kid" who has trouble surviving things like school, brothers, holloween, madhouses, competitions, stage fright and stuff like that. I haven't really finished the book yet, so I dont know ALL of the details. I would definetly rate this book a positive 100% ten, because it is one of the funiest books I have ever read and it's the one and only cartoon novel.

I love those.

The Battle of the Labyrinth

The Battle Of The Labyrinth is not coming out till May 6,2008 Bummer! But i diid get a inside scope on the fourth book to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This is where he finds that he needs to save the camp from the wrath of crones. He also will find the secret to the lost god pan the Labyrinth extends through all the united states of America this must be interesting. Percy on the way will meet new friends on the way and new enemies. Percy could find the darkest secret to the evil titan crones that he has kept hidden. And if you want to check these stuff out for yourself go to Rick Riordan on google and look for Percy jackson! I think it will be the best of the series.

Hope For The Flowers By Trina Paulus

This story is about two caterpillars who dose not know what to do in life. To me this was a very strange topic to right about. It looked like a easy  book but it was it was exciting book that I couldn't  put down. I realized that I wanted to make it harder. I had to think about this page and what was some harder word with the same meaning. Any way back to the story. This book gave me a worm feeling inside because the two loved each other and was separated but when the girl caterpillar (who's name is yellow) came to see the boy caterpillar (who's name was stripe) but, she wasn't a caterpillar any more she was a butterfly. It was sad because Stripe didn't no his true love.

Sam Is Not Afraid Of Anything

I read this book about this wolf and a dog. The wolf is named sam and you know from the tittle that he is not afraid of anything. The dogs name is nick and he is afraid of a lot of things. " First of all, I am thinking how did they ever think of the main charcters being a wolf and a dog." Second "Why did they pick the wolf to be the one that is not afraid of anything and the dog that is afraid of "everything" isn't that wierd." Well at the end it will give you suprise.I would rate this book a 6 because it is a little strange for me.

Wenny Has Wings

Wenny Has Wings is the most heartbreaking book around. Janet Lee Carey conjured up a tale that will make it seem as if the ocean is coming out of your eyes. Wenny North, died at age seven. She was hit by a truck with her brother Will. Our school library copy has tear stains to share on pages galore. They were both rushed to the hospital. In this time is really the main story.

Most people will tell you that is what the book is about. Thats true, but really the thing that boggles me is it is just the beginning. True throughout the whole book they reefer back to this moment in time, but the book really is about what happens after. I think that is what people should say. " This book is about the suffering of a family after they lose the youngest member of there family."

This books hook is really good. It isn't exactly the first piece of the book it's the back cover. "Dear Wenny, I died too. Not when the truck first hit us, but right after in the hospital. I was pretty messed up by the truck, and while they were trying to fix me, my heart stropped for a whole ten minutes. I sped through a tunnel when I died, then I flew around in the sky. I'd be flying up there with you still if D.r West fall hadn't put two paddles on my chest and shot electric energy into my heart." From this I know that he was writing letters to his sister. I think that if I were in his shoes I would want to be up there still. I think this because mainly is because how his parents are effected. It seemed to me that they really didn't care that he had made it. They just dwelled on the fact that Wenny was no longer with them. I think he got over it the best. He still got angry really easily but he saw the bright side. Like what he did for Wenny's birthday. I won't give it away, but I think that it was really sweet. I think that the most amazing thing is that Wenny is based on Janet. I could never write a book about the person who is basically me dyeing. That would just be too much. Please consider reading this book. I think that Emi also has read this book. I would definetly rate this book a ten.

P.S. Watch out for tear stains.

Uglies

Imagine living in a world where anyone normal looking is hideous. While, for Tally, that's life. She lives in the future, and when you turn 16, you get an operation where all your old skin is ripped off and the doctors put in plastic cheekbones and things like that to make you what Tally calls, "supermodel pretty". Tally had been waiting for this operation her whole life when one day, just a couple weeks before her operation she meets a girl named Shay. Shay starts being Tally's best friend but it turns out, Shay doesn't want the operation but she wants to run away. Want to know what happens next? Will Shay run away? Will Tally get to have the operation? Read the book and find out.

That's my little advertisement for the book. Something I loved about this was when I had some time to just relax and watch TV or go on the computer, I chose to read this instead. The whole time I was reading this I was thinking "What's gonna happen next?!" Unfortunately, I lost the book so I never got to finish it :( Well, I'll keep on the lookout!

Eager

EGR3 is a robot who was recently designed by a famous scientist, Dr. Ogden. He sends him to a family called the Bells who are very  old-fashioned and in need of a new robot to help out Grumps, their confused butler. I found this book interesting because the funny thing about EGR3 is that he can learn. Grumps is just a robot that's programmed to do whatever the Bell family wants him to do. That's why they named him Eager. Eager to learn, eager to help, eager to meet you. Most robots have to live by the robot laws like never hurt a human. But Eager is allowed to think himself and make his own choices. I thought of him as an infant born knowing how to think and walk. I also never knew that Eager was the first to a trilogy. It is one of my top  five books. It goes: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle (Avi) , City of Light, City of Dark (Avi), 101 Ways to Bug Your Teacher (Lee Wardlaw) , 101 Ways to Bug You Parents (Lee Wardlaw), and then Eager (Helena Fox). I would rate this book an 8.

The Mistmantle Chronicles, Urchin of the Riding Stars

This book is about a young squirrel named Urchin who's mother gave birth to him and died. Urchin has different fur then the other squirrels from Mistmantle. But nobody knows who his mother was, or where she came from. Urchin was raised by a sweet, dull-headed squirrel named Apple. But Urchin longs to be a castle squirrel, and even more to be Captain Crispin's page. Captain Crispin is one of the three castle captains. One day Crispin chooses Urchin to be his page. That's when Urchin finally gets to be a tower squirrel. But just then, strange things start happening in the castle. This book really gets you into the story. At one point I got so scared I started shaking. That's really rare for me. The voices in my head were saying stuff like, " ooh, this is freaky" and "You're so close to solving the mystery!". This book really got me into the story and I never wanted to stop reading it. This book is the first of two and I would rate it a 9.

Elvis, The Ultimate Book

This book is about Elvis if you cant tell already from the title. This book is by Tara McAdams, this must have taken her a long time because this book has 431 pages and has really hard, tough text, so it took me about almost 2 months just to get to page 75 but i stated to read this book last year and i was not the best reader so i was not to good at reading this book nut i thought it looked interesting so i picked it up and started to read it.

When i was reading this book at the beginning of the book i wanted to put it down because i thought it was to hard and so i did later i picked it up and started to read the book and i thought it was a lot easier to read.

This book is about his child hood and how he started his career in the singing industry. At the end it shows a newspaper picture, here is the newspaper:

He was not actually dead he was actually in hiding and his cousin told everyone. If you are asking why he was in hiding was because he took to many drugs and was not him self so he told everyone that was his friends to tell the newspaper people that he was dead. Then like i told you, his cousin told the truth and everyone was happy and he came out and sang and did all his stuff again like he used to! Then a couple years later he actually died but i cant tell you how because it would give the hole ending away, so i am not going to tell you.

Here is a picture of him when he was young:

I would rate this book a 8 because it is still a little hard for me to just understand but it is still a really good book and i would definitely recommend this book to people that like biographies and Elvis!

Eleven

This is such a great book! Eleven is about a girl, Winnie, who turns 11, and it is about how her life changes at a new age. At parts, this book can be really funny. But, I am only half way into this book. I already love it though!

I would give this book an 6 or a 7. I would have to say, this book isn't the best, but it is really good! Thats why I wouldn't give it a 10. Also, it is a little bit cheesy.

I really recomend this book because Winnie has some troubles that she has to overcome. For example, one of her friends is leaving her for someone else. So, this book teaches you things too!

When I read this book, the voices in my head are asking so many questions. For example, "Wow, will Amanda dump Winnie as a friend?" or "I cant believe that Amanda is that boy crazy!" I have to admit, I sometimes find myself daydreaming while I am reading this book, except for when it is at a really dramatic part.

I hope you consider reading this book.
