The Amber Spyglass
The Amber Spyglass is the third book from the series, His Dark Matirials. It is a very good book so far and I enjoy how there aren't too many knew characters and there still are some old characters. I'm guessing that the new character, Ama, will find something called the Amber Spyglass because in the Golden Compass Lyra finds the alethiometer.In the Subtle Knife, Will who is a knew character finds the Subtle Knife. So now in the Amber Spyglass, Ama is the knew character and the Amber Spyglass could be the tool she finds. This book is a great book and I would rate it a 9 so far. It falls .3 short because I liked the Golden Compass so much and This isn't completely the same as the Golden Compass. But it is similar.

I've gotten a little further in The Amber Spyglass and it is still great. Now it is getting to the point where the story gets a little hard to fallow. There's so much going on that sometimes if I stop reading, leave the book, and come back later I have a hard time getting into the story again quickly. I'm always thinking to myself, I like this scene so much. Why does the scene have to change. And then of cource, I start liking that scene and so on. So far in the story, I haven't seen any evedince of why the story is called The Amber Spyglass. There hasn't been anything called th amber spyglass and there hasn't even been a hint of a mention of anything even similar to it. So right now, I'm just reading on and waiting for it to come up.
ReplyDeleteI'm not completely at the end of this book but I am close. It's getting to the point where it all starts to make sense. And all those scenes I was talking about erlier are starting to make sense. This is the part in the story where I always say, " ooohhh" or " That's why that happened. Just like when we're in class and somebody doesn't get something, then somebody says it in a different way and they say, oooooohhhhh! Kind of like that. The story is still awsome and I can't pult down the book.
ReplyDeleteI finished the amber spy glass a while ago Ama does find the amber spy glass but in a totally different world with weird animals with sqaure spines its really strange how the dust is flowing different directions and i dont really get it. why do you think Lyra and Will have to leave each other in the end its sorta sad. its cool how at the end Lyra and Will's demons can go really far away from each other.
