Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul 2
This book is filled with bunch of mini stories. All of the stories are writen by kids around my age. The stories are all very meaningful in different ways. I ma not very far in this book, so i have only read the stories about friendship.
This book is really powerful. When i was reading it, the voices in my head were going wild! "WOW! NOW THATS REAL FRIENDSHIP!" or "why would anyone do that?" I was thinking so much during this book. (My mom said that I was even talking out loud a little.)
Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul 2 was so powerful that it even made me cry. And trust me, I don't cry very often. I began to cry when it was talking about he girl with cancer and how she had no friends, and then she made a good friend. But then she died, and her best friend, found a note written to her about how great of a friend she was and all that mushy, gooshy, stuff. It was really sad to think about... so, i started crying. I was practicly sobbing, but then the story ended, and that was that.
I really love this book so far. Plus, it gives out really great advice. I really reccomend reading it.

So, I have come back to reading Chicken Soup for the Preeteen Soul 2. Out of all the stories that I have read, only one really touched me, and inspired me. And that story was about a 12 year old surfer, that was 1st in thw nation, but then, he fell and was paralized. The doctor said that he sould never surf again... but he did.
ReplyDeleteThis story really inmspired me because even when he was hurt, and was told he couldn't surf, he pushed himself, and it may of taken a while, but he got back up there. Now to me, that is what you would call "love for the game!"
Anyways, In this book, I have a lot of thoughts. In one of the stories I remember thinking to myself: "I CANT BELIEVE THAT 14 YEAR OLD KIDS DO DRUGS AND SMOKE!" or, "I really hope that Chris makes the right desision, and doesnt follow his friend and do drugs."
This book is taking me a really long time to read. That is because, some of these stories I have to read twice to fully take in, because they are just so powerful.
I feel that in the story about cancer, even though she didn't really know her cousin, she still tried to help her, and was so supportive to her about her cancer, that after she died, she still fought. That was a really meaningfull thing to me.
