The Mummy with No Name

This book has Mice in it -- well, it happens in New Mouse City. A mouse named Geronimo Stilton you ask who he is? He writes newspaper but his true passion is writing stories about adventures. In new mouse city, all of his books are bestsellers! Back to the book. Weill Geronimo was relaxing he got a letter from his friend Cyril Sandsnout who works in a Egyptian Museum in new mouse city. So Geronimo invited his nephew Benjamin and one of his friends to come with him, but Benjamin's friend is a real disaster for Geronimo. They get into big trouble wile trying to find the Pharaohs treasure I gees they have to find the Mummy with no name that cepes cruising along the Museum and it always says "Goooo awaaaaay... or you'll beeeeeeeeee sooooooooooooooooorry.... " And then leaves dust behind! Just wait until you read this book, you will see how the book is. By the way I think that it is awesome!

THE SEA of MONSTERS

I have only read sea of monsters for one day but it is the best book I have read for a while.  The book is not good if you have not seen the first book (Lightning Thief).  If you like books about greek gods and all that stuff than this book is perfect for you.  But this is not the only book there are three more and I think they are coming out with another one.  In all the books there are three or more main characters and they always go on these types of quests.  I can not tell you any more for I have already told you to much.

Rotten school

Rotten school by R.L Stine. Now I know that your probably thinking a scary book, because R.L Stine pretty much only writes scary books, but not any more.
Rotten school is really not a scary book at all. It's really funny and kind of disgusting in away or a big way. Anyway, this book about a guy named Bernie Bridges and his friends Feenman and Crench, they all go to a boarding school called Rotten school.

I would say that this book is for a age group of 7-9 and not for a 5th grader like me. It has really big text and only 107 pages, but there is A LOT I mean a lot of series in Rotten school. I read a lot of the series and I haven't even read all of them! I think that you should go and try it out. Have fun reading!

No Place For Magic

No Place For Magic is a really interesting book. It is the third book in the series. It is based on magic. Evil magic and good magic. In the first book called The Frog Princess two people fall in love when they are trapped as frogs. They eventually turn back into humans after they go through some little adventures which compared to what is coming up ahead of them are easy. There names are Emma and Eadric. In the second book called Dragons Breath they meet and make friends with a dragon and they get chased by other dragons. That book ends with several ingenious twists. In the No Place For Magic they have to go back to Eadric's castle to ask them a very important question but, when they get there they found out that Eadric's little brother has gone! Of course they set out looking for him and Emma has noticed that Eadric is a little to found of the girls of his kingdom. Remember what I said about them falling in love? Well Emma is worried that Eadric might go off her before the big event. When they are fighting monsters and vampires to get Eadric's brother back Emma is thinking that maybe Eadric wasn't the strong and loyal man she thought he was.  Will there love end or will it continue until they get married?

The Beacon Street Girls: Letters From The Heart

For a while I have been reading the Beacon Street Girls book 3 Letters From the Heart by Annie Bryant and I have really liked it. The book is about girls who are around twelve years old, so I can relate to some of the girls loves of sports, drama queen attitudes, fashion obsessions, Loves of art, help with organizing, and much more. The characters names in the book are like names I have never heard before! Their names are Avery Madden, Katini Summers, Charlotte Ramsey, Isabel Martinez, Maeve Kaplan-Taylor, and one Character who has not appeared yet; Ms. Razzberry Pink, not Raspberry Pink but Razzberry Pink, which is a name I have definitely never heard before. I have many questions about what will happen later in the book, I don't want to give away too much so I will tell you only one of my questions: my question is about Avery, who asked her friend Meave to let her take care of her guinea pigs for a while because her mom is allergic to dogs and cats and people rarely have allergies with guinea pigs. Avery has never looked after one before so problems could happen easily so my question is what will happen? I hope I have told you enough about the book for you to like the sound of it and maybe even read it! I would recommend it to anyone who liked the "How I Survived Middle School series.

The Alchemyst

I'm am reading this book called the Alchemyst. It is action packed and full of suspense. It is about two twins (Sophie and Josh) who have a prophesy written about them. It says they will have to save the world.

At the beginning of the book a evil scourer attacks the shop owner Josh works for. That was one of my favorite parts in the whole book. The scourer brings these creatures made of mud. Thy are kind of like people, but they melt and die when they are in the sun for to long.  During the battle the twins learn about magic. By that I mean they see a curled haze with sparks a explosions. Half way through the battle josh is holding a very valuable book. I thought it was kind of weird how all he wants to save is a book. Then the evil scourer comes up and grabs the book from Josh's Hand. At least all but two pages of it. I didn't think much of it. I mean what use are two pages. It turns out the book is full of magic spells and the two pages that Josh saved are the most important ones. I still think that that is kind of random. But kind of cool.

As you can see the Alchemyst is a really cool, action packed, humorous, and suspenseful book. I hope you think so too.

Shoeless Joe and Me

Shoeless Joe & Me is a great book. It is a book about the famous Black Sox scandal, it is by a great book by Dan Gutman. This series is one of my favorites and my favorite book in this series is definitely Mickey & Me, but this is probably my second favorite book in the series.
Joe the main character travels through time to 1919 and meets Shoeless Joe Jackson and tries to make him deny the money from the scary sharp nailed gamblers. Not only that but he has to visit his great grandmother and her brother and take their photos. He almost died on the journey
The book Shoeless Joe & Me is an action-packed book. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes books about baseball and history or both.

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

The book Prince Caspian is full of adventure. In this book Prince Caspian blows on Queen Susan's Horn. This horn was given to her by Father Christmas in The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter are on an adventure while Prince Caspian and all of the talking Narnia animals are on their own adventure.
When I read this book I fell like I am there in the scene watching them fight, panic and save the day! I always wonder things like if I was there would I be scared out of my mind or feel so happy because I was finding someone that was going to be the next king and in a few hours going to save the day. When I was reading I also thought things like I wish I was a Narnian animal so I could talk but not be human. Almost all the animals in Narnia can talk which I think is really cool my favorite talking animal is Trufflehunter a badger who helps Prince Caspian in the begging of the book. Anyways I think prince Caspian is a really great book and if you are up for adventure and you like a little violence I would definitely recomend this book. I always feel happy when I read it.

The Penderwicks On Gardam Street

The Penderwicks On Gardam Street is a great book for anyone who likes a full household. It is a book about four sisters who generally love each other very much, but can still get on each others nerves. This book is also a sequel to an award winning book, The Penderwicks.
This book is full of excitement, and all of while I was reading it, my head was about to burst with all of the thoughts that I was thinking. I think that this might have been because I had already read the other book, which was also very good. One of the reasons that love this book is that anyone could read this book. I'm saying that a boy or a girl could read this book. However, I am not saying that they would enjoy this book as much as I did, ( and that's a lot.) but it definetly  is not a book for just one gender. That's what I love the most about this absolutely fantabulous book.

Artemis Fowl

Artemis fowl is a very... sophisticated book.  When I say sophisticated I mean it has lots of hard words.  It's also just a very sophisticated sounding book.  It also has lots of things that you would find in a fairy tale book; sprites, trolls, and more.  It even has items (such as invisibility shields) that couldn't possibly be real.  But what I like most about it is the action.  The action is actually, believe it or not, also sophisticated.  You're probably wondering how that's possible.  Well, all they have to do is put a bunch of weapons in with really weird names, and make the writing as detailed as possible.  And then when you read it, it'll sound sophisticated.  There's also a lot of humor in the book.  And the humor is, you guessed it, sophisticated. So technically, the whole book is sophisticated.

Inkheart

I've been reading Inkheart lately, and I've been enjoying it a lot! The main character is Meggie, and her dad's name is Mo. Mo has a friend named Dustfinger. Dustfinger isn't his real name, it's just a code name, but nobody knows his real name. Yet. Mo's code name is Silvertongue. I don't get why they have secret names, or how they got them, but I'm sure it's for a good reason.
Meggie is always getting taken out from school from her father because they have to go some where to organize books. It seems a bit weird to go some where to just be organizing books, but Mo is a book binder, and he also organizes books. Meggie likes to call him a book doctor. In the part where I am right now Meggie, Mo, and Dustfinger, are at Mo's sister Elinor's house. Elinor has books from wall to wall in every room except for the kitchen. There isn't even one book in the kitchen.
Meggie does not like Elinor and Elinor doesn't like her, or any child. She says that her books are like children to her. She doesn't let sun hit the pages or let visitors read the books, for it  just leaves behind finger prints, and hairs in the pages. So that is what has happened so far. Just that.

Abner & Me

Abner and Me is a book by Dan Gutman. He has wrote a load of & me books including Shoeless Joe & me, Jim & me, Honus & me, Jackie & me, Satch & me, Babe & me and Mickey & me. My Favorite book is probably Satch & me.
But now lets focus on Abner & me it has lots of action and humor.
Joe goes back to the 1863 and he wants to get Abner Doubleder autograph for his baseball coach Flip and wants to see if invited the game of baseball .
But he goes back in time and see's Abner play baseball and he was horrible he did not know what it was. He also was disgusted by the solders playing baseball.
Joe also tried to save xPresident Linchion with his mom oh yeah she went with him to!

The Shakespeare Stealer

The Shakespeare Stealer is a very good book. It is good because it has lots of action in it and can be sad then wondering what will happen to the main character will he get killed will he run away or feel lots of pain. It makes me think what will happen to him what will it end like will he run away forever or not. He is a orphan and then he gets a master whose name is Mr. Bright after seven years another master gets him and tells him to copy the script but he gets captured and has a new master. I was thinking what will happen to him will he go to jail or not. I hope not.

Witch Child

Witch child is a great, scary book to read anytime you feel like it.
This book starts in 1659, and ends in 1660. It is about a girl called Mary Newbury, who is said to be a witch child, because her grandmother was thought to be a witch. She goes on a wild adventure to run away from the people who want to kill her. Along the way, she meets some pleasant, and unpleasant characters who try to help her hide from the witch hunters, as they call themselves. She has to find a way to live in peace, without having death on her tracks.

For more information, here are some good websites for this book:

Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soal

This book is great. I liked it because it helped me get over losing my dog. One night I left it in my mom's room and she read all the stories about dogs. Another reason I like this book is that you can skip around and not read the ones you don't like.

This is a book with many authors and many stories. I pretty much only like the stories about cats and dogs, but some times I come across stories about birds or deer that I like.

In this book animals help people get well, learn to walk after being paralyzed on someones entire left side, and many, many, more. WARNING!!! Some stories may be sad and may make you cry. The book has about 400 pages of friendship, love care, and loving sadness.

I an on page 234 and have only been reading it for six days. It goes by fast because its so fun to read! There are so many other books in the series that I can't name them all. Some of them are, Chicken Soup for the Girls Soul, Pre-teen Soul, Dog Soul, Cat Soul and many, many, more.

A Begging a Muddle and an End

This book is a great-but confusing type of book. Avi wrote this book, he is one of my favorite authors. It's  kind of an adventure book but it's also not.
A Beginning a Muddle and an End has two characters: Avon the Snail and Edward the Ant. Avon is the one who is writing a story. Edward is the one who gives lots of "helpful" ideas. You see, Edward thinks that Avon should write something on his paper and that "something" is the word that Avon writes-but what next? So now Avon the snail only has "something" on his paper. Edward and Avon talk a lot, that explains all of Edward's "great" idea's. They both go on lots of adventures while talking, playing pranks, and, of course, eating.
The reason I like this book is because it's very detailed, wise, clever, and has tons of humor written in the depths of the pages. As Avi, the author of this fantastic tale, said on the cover of the book: "It's the Right Way to Write Writing"- and he was right.
P.S. I definitely give this book a "two thumbs up!"-Read it! I dare you!

Coraline

Coraline is a scary book. There are gross things in it though. At the beginning it seems normal but when you get a bit into the book things can get a bit scarier and scarier. The character I admire most is Coraline. I admire her because she is brave and plays a game that is hard for her not to lose. In the game she has help of a very interesting thing that looks normal. Another character that I like is the black cat because the author gave the cat a funny personality. I have had nothing happen to me related to this book. I like the idea that you have another mother, though I would probably change her personality a bit. I thought that it was very interesting how the other farther turned out different from the other mother. My favorite part in the book is when a hand is able to crawl when it is cut of the persons hand. I think that it's weird that Coraline 's mother and father don't remember being in a glass ball. I sometimes wonder if Coraline's mother and father got hungry while trapped in the glass ball. Here is a tip:don't read this before bedtime.
