Artemis Fowl

Artemis Fowl is a great series anyway you look at it. It's a mix of modern day technology and fairies, dwarfs, goblin's and centaurs! Artemis is a 12 year old genius who unfortunately uses his massive brain for criminal activates. Soon Artemis discovers the existence of many new creatures previously only childhood storybooks. Knowing that they have been discovered, the fairies launch an attack on the Fowl mansion. Artemis Fowl is a great and exciting series that I recon girls or boys would like. I think that Artemis is similar to, a character in Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr. That character being Murtagh, Murtagh is the son of one of the major bad guys in the story, but yet he is determined to fight against his dads army's and maybe some day hos dad himself. Artemis is the same sort of person in a way. Artemis used to be a criminal always wanting more and more money, but as the series progresses Artemis becomes less of a greedy kind of man, and eventually will want nothing in returning for risking his life on more than one occasion. So I think that Murtagh and Artemis are similar in a sort of way. I also think that tht author also did a good job of giving the character good such as Mulch, Foaly, Artemis, and Opal. I like the way that Eoin Colfer, the author, took a usually old and polite job such as a Butler, and gave a character that is extremely, fit, buff, a weapon master, and marshal-arts master the name butler I think that it is a funny little detail that seemed to catch my attention. I think over-all that Eoin Colfer did a great job writing the Artemis Fowls.
