This book is by Kate DiCamillo. It won a Newbery medal. It's about a small mouse, a rat, a royal family, and a girl. In this book there are four short books that are all connected. There is a book on every characters besides, the royal family. I'm pretty sure, but I haven't read the last book yet.
I like how Kate DiCamillo had a narrator and how she made all the books connected. When I was reading I was thinking to myself, "That's so mean. How can they do that to them?" I also wonder if I will read about them again.
I am reading his book and you covered everything like the rat who is named desperaux who doesn't do what most mice would do. Then theirs the princess who's name is Pea. She is a very loving person and very forgiving i would give this book a 4 out of 5 it is because the pictures get in the way. I don't like how there is a narrator that tells you about the story.

I havent read this book but I have heard highly of it. And when you guys talk about the pictures... are t hey really big and take up the whole page or different. Also, Emi, what would you rate the book?
ReplyDeleteThe book The Tale of desperaux is an amazingly good book. It is about a mouse named Desperaux that is in love with the princess named Pea. There is a few stories that are all different but they all connect to each other and the rest of the story. One is of a sweet, small, mouse named Desperaux that has large ears and is in love with the princess Pea. And in another one you are in the dungeon with a rat named Roscuro who is a rat that has been out of the dungeon and into the ball room but has killed the queen by jumping in her soup. Who seeks to go back up and get revenge on the princess who glared at him at the party in the ball room. He and the other rats will trick you. They will get you deep into the dungeon but only they will know the way back out of the pitch black maze. And of a girl named Miggery Sow that was traded by her dad and lives with a man that only abuses her. But somehow they will all end up connected and they will meet and that is what you are to find out.
