the Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey

The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart was a great book so I was eager to go out and buy the Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey also by Trenton Lee Stewart. Being the second book in the series I hope that it is as good as the first book. There are actually more characters than in the first book like in this new book you meet, and not all of them are humans: Ms. Purumals mother, Madge, Captain Noland, Cannonball, Mr. Argent, and more. If I could have one personality Trait that you find in the book It would be being able to be so brave like Kate, you might be surprised that I didn't say I wanted to be able to basically have infinite knowledge like Sticky (George) but I wish I could conker my fears as well and as quick as Kate. If you know what a page turner is this sure is one! A page turner is a book where you just want to keep reading until the end of the book. This book is exciting, funny, adventurous, unique, and mysterious.

  1. Millie,
I liked The Mysterious Benedict Society and I am hoping to read the second one. When you did your post, you made it sort of confusing to follow. And if you didn't read the Mysterious Benedict Society then you don't really know what you're talking about when you talk about all these people and how you want to be as brave as Kate and have infanite knowledge like Sticky I don't really understand what you're saying or what you're talking about. I think that you did a good job describing the book and I liked all the different, unique words you used. I think that as a reader that you should try to explain your thoughts so that they are easier for other people to follow.

  2. Hi Mille,
Over the summer of 2008, I started to read the Mysterious Benedict Society. I got to about page 85. I thought it was a great book, but it sort of lost my interest. I'm not even sure if it lost my interest, it just got kinda...I don't kinda weird. So, I stopped reading it. I might come back to it though one day. And when you said if you could have one character trait, it would be Kate's, I would actually choose Sticky. Why? Well because I would rather be insanely smart than to be able to fight my fears pretty easily. But that's just me. When I finish the book I'm on right now, I will probably come back to The Mysterious Benedict Society. And I'm glad you made this post, because I forgot all about this book.

P.S. Would you recommend the second one to me?
