Have you ever wanted to fly? I've always wanted to fly. To be able to look over the world seems so much more peaceful. I think that having a birds-eye view of things without the humming noise of a plane and 6 thicknesses between me and the actual sky seems so cool!
Maximum Ride is about this 14 year old girl, Max, who was tested on as a baby and now is 98% human and 2% bird! She can actually fly! Of course, with the rest of her abused, 2% bird gang, Fang, Iggy, Nuge, Gasman and Angel.
I simply love this book! There's fighting, humor and well, the main characters can fly! This is sort of like Percy Jackson and the Olympians in a way. Even better, it's almost as good as Percy Jackson and the Olympians!
I'd rate this book a 10 because of all of the above.
Wow Izzy, this must be some awesome book. You were all over the Percy Jackson books! So, what does Max have to do? I get that it is hard to be 2% bird when you are sounded by 100% humans, but what happens?

Matias is already reading the second book but we're going to read the third book together. He is just dying to tell me everything in the second book!

ReplyDeleteMaximum ride is a story about 6 kids that can fly and have wings. they are 98 percent human and two percent bird. I would have never picked this book up if it weren't for someone that recommended it to me but once I started to read i just couldn't stop. This is an action packed book but has humor in it. As Iz said i am waiting for her to read the Second book in the series called Schools out forever as iz said this is for me equal to the Percy jackson and the Olympians series. I would give this book a ten because it is like no other book I've ever read. So Iz start reading that third book before I explode. Who ever likes Fiction this is a very good pick. By the way the Second book is totally worth reading. Bye

ReplyDeleteI'm about to start the last book in the Percey Jakson and the Olypians book. But once I finish that I think I will start reading the Maximum Ride series. I am going to like making comparisons from book to book because Iz and Matias say that the two books are very similar. I can't wait!
