A Wrinkle in Time

I am enjoying reading the book A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'engle, which by the way has the John Newberry Medal so that's probably one of the reasons I am enjoying it. I am reading the first book of four so I'm working on the series. There is really something in this book for everyone: magical creatures, time travel, old people, young people, views, a hint of romance, quotes, emotions, animals, and more. This book will show you the emotional journey of Meg, the main character and you will watch her find out who she really is. One thing I like about Meg is she has a large personality and you really never know what her reaction will be. When I first started reading the book I thought meg was my age and so was Calvin (the hint of romance) but actually they are in either the later years of Middle School or in High school. I hope anyone who reads this post will be intrigued to read the book.

  1. Millie, the Newberry Medal didn't make you like the book. The medal is there just to say "it is a great book". with out it, you would probably still like the story. otherwise, I think it's a good post.

  3. Millie-
I thought your post was very thorough and thoughtful. I've never read this book before and your fantastic post is now inspiring me to read A Wrinkle in time. I've never read books like this one a lot. I usually read books that are realistic. THIS book sounds good.
I also like your post because you didn't just retell the story. You told what you liked about it and you told what things are in it (magical creatures, old people, young people, time travel, etc.) so whoever wants to read it, knows what things there going to come across.

  4. Millie-
The exact words that I said to myself after I read this post were, I think it would be really cool if I were to read the book. You put so many good adjectives or describing words in it, which made a lot easier to picture to understand. It seemed as you did this post with a lot of care since it is so neatly done.
