Protecting Marie
Protecting Marie is about a girl who really wanted a dog. At least that's what it sounded like on the back of the book. I personally think that it was about a girl and her dad and their relation ship. I felt like as I progressed through the book the girl and her dad changed. I think the book also showed trust between the girl and her dad. I would give this book a nine.

I like how you challenged what the book was about. Analyzing the theme of the book, like you do by thinking about the relationship between characters, is much more sophisticated than simply retelling the plot. Good job, kudos!
