Eager

 EGR3 is a robot who was recently designed by a famous scientist, Dr. Ogden. He sends him to a family called the Bells who are very  old-fashioned and in need of a new robot to help out Grumps, their confused butler. I found this book interesting because the funny thing about EGR3 is that he can learn. Grumps is just a robot that's programmed to do whatever the Bell family wants him to do. That's why they named him Eager. Eager to learn, eager to help, eager to meet you. Most robots have to live by the robot laws like never hurt a human. But Eager is allowed to think himself and make his own choices. I thought of him as an infant born knowing how to think and walk. I also never knew that Eager was the first to a trilogy. It is one of my top  five books. It goes: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle (Avi) , City of Light, City of Dark (Avi), 101 Ways to Bug Your Teacher (Lee Wardlaw) , 101 Ways to Bug You Parents (Lee Wardlaw), and then Eager (Helena Fox). I would rate this book an 8. 

The Mistmantle Chronicles, Urchin of the Riding Stars

This book is about a young squirrel named Urchin who's mother gave birth to him and died. Urchin has different fur then the other squirrels from Mistmantle. But nobody knows who his mother was, or where she came from. Urchin was raised by a sweet, dull-headed squirrel named Apple. But Urchin longs to be a castle squirrel, and even more to be Captain Crispin's page. Captain Crispin is one of the three castle captains. One day Crispin chooses Urchin to be his page. That's when Urchin finally gets to be a tower squirrel. But just then, strange things start happening in the castle. This book really gets you into the story. At one point I got so scared I started shaking. That's really rare for me. The voices in my head were saying stuff like, " ooh, this is freaky" and "You're so close to solving the mystery!". This book really got me into the story and I never wanted to stop reading it. This book is the first of two and I would rate it a 9.

Elvis, The Ultimate Book

This book is about Elvis if you cant tell already from the title. This book is by Tara McAdams, this must have taken her a long time because this book has 431 pages and has really hard, tough text, so it took me about almost 2 months just to get to page 75 but i stated to read this book last year and i was not the best reader so i was not to good at reading this book nut i thought it looked interesting so i picked it up and started to read it.

When i was reading this book at the beginning of the book i wanted to put it down because i thought it was to hard and so i did later i picked it up and started to read the book and i thought it was a lot easier to read.

This book is about his child hood and how he started his career in the singing industry. At the end it shows a newspaper picture, here is the newspaper:


He was not actually dead he was actually in hiding and his cousin told everyone. If you are asking why he was in hiding was because he took to many drugs and was not him self so he told everyone that was his friends to tell the newspaper people that he was dead. Then like i told you, his cousin told the truth and everyone was happy and he came out and sang and did all his stuff again like he used to! Then a couple years later he actually died but i cant tell you how because it would give the hole ending away, so i am not going to tell you.

I would rate this book a 8 because it is still a little hard for me to just understand but it is still a really good book and i would definitely recommend this book to people that like biographies and Elvis!

Eleven

This is such a great book! Eleven is about a girl, Winnie, who turns 11, and it is about how her life changes at a new age. At parts, this book can be really funny. But, I am only half way into this book. I already love it though!

I would give this book an 6 or a 7. I would have to say, this book isn't the best, but it is really good! Thats why I wouldn't give it a 10. Also, it is a little bit cheesy.

I really recomend this book because Winnie has some troubles that she has to overcome. For example, one of her friends is leaving her for someone else. So, this book teaches you things too!

When I read this book, the voices in my head are asking so many questions. For example, "Wow, will Amanda dump Winnie as a friend?" or "I cant believe that Amanda is that boy crazy!" I have to admit, I sometimes find myself daydreaming while I am reading this book, except for when it is at a really dramatic part.

I hope you consider reading this book.

How my Private Personal Journal Bacome a Bestseller

How my Private Personal Journal Became a Bestseller is a good book so far because it starts out as "thirty seconds! thirty seconds!" I am not far in this book at all. I also like this book because it
Is about a girl that has a journal. I am predicting that in the book the girl will become famous and everyone will start writing, or that people will make friends with her.

Mariel of Redwall

Mariel of Redwall is just another one of those Redwall books, though it's the one where I finaly realized the authors skill!  I know I've just been telling you how good they are for the past few blogs on this series, and I feel really bad about that, so I'll try to do better this time.  Anyway, back to Mariel of Redwall, While I was reading this book the voice in my head was saying, ''wow, this author is an incredible poet, songwriter, and overall storyteller!  As the rating goes on the cover, "Grand storytelling"!  Something to add to all this is that all of the books are full to the brim with beautiful poems, some of wich are similiar to the poem you can find in our social studies books on page 3.

The Seeing Stone (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Book 2)

Im reading the second book in the Spiderwick Chronicles. And yes, you do have to read the first book to get the second. Its a great book. If you like mysticle things like trolls and stuff, then you will love this. Its about a kid who finds a dusty thick old book. He opens it even when a note says DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! Then a whole world opens up before his eyes. I love this book because it has so many genres like action, humor, horror and a lot more. All 'n all, this book is a 9. not a 10 because somtimes the pictures get in the way. you'll know what I mean when you read the book.

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

This book is by Kate DiCamillo. I really like it so far; I think I would give it a 10 so far.It’s about a china rabbit named Edward Tulane was own by a girl who treated him very well and adored him completely. One day he fell into the sea and a fisherman fish him up and gave him to his wife.

I think that Edward will get back to the girl in the end. I also feel bad for Edward because he’s getting toss around like he’s just any old thing and he’s not use to it. When I was reading it I felt a bunch of different feelings like sadness, happiness, and scared that nobody would find him he would just stay there or where he was; but I always hoped that someone would.

Rules

Rules is a book about a girl whos little brother suffers from a disease that makes him really babyish and even grownups can have it. She loves her little brother but she is embarrassed at him and is over helpful and over protective to him. She has a friend in a wheel chair that she likes but she is embarrassed of him too. This shows that you do not have to be embarrassed over things you like. I would give this book a 9 because it was really good but it could use more action.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

I am a fan of Roal Daul and this is one my favorite books of his, and like the book Georges Mavelous Medicine by Roal Daul, that I also posted on, is very funny and desciptive. It's about a fox and his hungry family that are pretty-much starving to death and haven't eaten in three days. So they start digging, then soon they find out that this hole time they've been living under a farm! But how will the family get the food that thy need? Fantastic Mr. Fox has a plan.

I would rate this book an 8

Little House on the Prairie

The Little house books are very interesting. I can't believe how interesting Laura (the main character,) how amazing her life is.

She has two sisters named Mary and Caroline. She has a dog named Jack and she calls her mom, ma and her dad, pa, which I think is very cool how the difference between now and then. She has many adventures in the books. There is so many things that happen to her that I can not believe she experienced. There is so many questions I want to ask  her like did she really do  all the things she said she did? I guess I wouldn't know since she past away.

I would give this book a nine for all the charming language.

The Sisterhood Of the Traveling Pants: Girls in Blue The Fourth Summer Of the Sisterhood

I am very sad that this series is over. This was the last book and this is my favorite series besides Harry Potter (which has also ended). It is about 4 girls who are all very different but are like sisters and they call themselves the Septembers because they were all born in that month. Carmen's father left their family when she was little and is very self-conscious, Bridget loves soccer and is outgoing and her mother died when she was still a teenager, Lena is from Greece and is shy but very kind, and Tibby makes movies and she is the more serious out of the friends. They are are all teenagers and in the last book they are in college. There isn't A LOT of romance in these books but depending on which one your reading they amount varies. It's nice not to have that "hard core" romance that I've been reading lately. By brain really needs a break but they way that the author wrote the book, there was just enough romance to hold me over and I repeatadly thought to myself, "More romance, please!" But if there WAS more romance, it would be too much! I definitely recommend this series and I would give it a 10 because I always wanted to keep reading and it is one of my favorites.

Our Only May Amelia

I like this book because it is funny an it is just a really good book. This book is by Jennifer L. Holm, I think she is a great auther because in this book I feel like I am actually in the book it just gets in my head so well. When I finish reading the Sharon Chreech books, witch are the best, I want to start reading all the books by Jennifer L. Holm. This book is about how May Amelia is the only child girl on the Nasel. I would recomened this book because it is so good. The only bad part with this book is that when someone is talking, the auther does not put in the quotes were someone is talking so it is kind of confusin when you read it because you don't know who is talking.

I would give this book a 10 because it so well written because the auther makes the book kind of sound like you are actually there I would deffinetly recomened this book!

When i first saw this book, I said to my self "A. This book looks interesting." So then I read the back to see if it was actually good. When i read the back i said to my self " Wow. This book looks interesting because it says that May Amelia is the only girl on the Nasel. When I started to read the book I said to my self again "This book is really good i think I am going to keep reading this book, and I am. So read it, its really good!

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a great book. You know how they have those books that are real classics and then they make them a kids book? Well this book is a classic but the copy that I'm reading is the original text. Or at lest that's what my mom says. But I kind of know that this is the original book because, well, this book (so far) has no swearing, but it does have the "N" word in it. If you don't know what the "N" word is, you don't have to. I'm only on page 12 because it's a pretty dense book, but, I still think it's a great book I mean, It's funny and it (so far) is a great adventure ( I guess that's why it's called The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn). I would rate this this book a 10 because of the reasons I just said. But I just started the book so the rating might change, but I don't think so.

The Wish

I just finished reading The Wish, and i have some thoughts on it. First of all, it is about this girl, Wilma, (personally, I think that Wilma is a wierd name), who meets an old lady on the bus, and gets a wish. I bet you can guess what she wished for, she wished to be the most popular kid at her school, (honestly, i think that that is a wierd thing to wish for, just be yourself). But they are in 8th grade, and graduation is coming soon, so that means... Wilma wont be popular for very long.

This book was really great. I would really reccomend it because it has a bunch of good lessons in it. For example, Wilma learns that she wants friends that like her for who she is. Also, that she should be herself, and not count on other people. And the last one, don't worry about what other people think.

During this book, the "voices in my head" were saying a bunch of things. Like, "I cant believe that wilma just said that!" Or, "Will jared still like Wilma after graduation?" And sometimes, "Will her friends believe her?" So you can see that this book made me think, but also make connections.

Also, this book had great detail, and I didnt want to stop reading it. I think that when Wilma tried to tell her "friends" about what had happened, they wouldnt believe her, but then they would come back because what she said, she ment. But, it ended up having her "friends" believe her right away, which I thought was weird.

I really hope that you consider reading this book. I would give it an 7 or 8. It is really good. Oh, and by the way, in my oppinion, this book might not be the best for boys. Remember, its really good!

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh is about a mouse (and widow of Jonathon) named Mrs. Frisby. She finds out that her youngest son, Timothy has pneumonia. That means that he can't go outside for a couple of weeks. The catch is that they live on a farm and the farmer is going to take the plow out in a couple of days. That would tear up Mrs. Frisby's house! She goes from place to place, asking for help, until she runs in to the rats of Nimh.

I, so far, love this book! I really like how the author writes with such detail. The plot is very deep too. Sometimes, it seems as if I am in the book! It is really interesting how Mrs. Frisby connects, some how, with the rats of Nimh! It is really hard not to give away this book because there are amazing things that happen but they don't have anything to do with the plot! The problem about this book is that it isn't told in first person. For some unexplainable reason, I like a book written in first person. I think that it's because I can really get the feel of the main character's thoughts! Although, I would still rate this book a ten! Enjoy!

Gaia Girls Enter the Earth

I think that this book is one of the most detailed you can come across. It very vividly describes what is going on. For example:
"...and through The Chaplain's leaves she could see the lights of her house. ...took her time walking slowly up the slope of the long, green yard." Page 49.
"... maybe the trees are so old they remember the Iroquois Indians. Maybe the Indians purposefully left those oaks in a line as guideposts. Elizabeth liked that idea and liked to think that once, long ago before the European farmers came to clear the woods, there had been a great line of oaks nodding and waving to each other and passing information up and down a living line all through Upstate New York." Page 12.
"She was in the dark but felt compelled to move herself toward the most beautiful sounds she had ever heard. It sounded like harps and choirs and bells and magic. The sound grew louder and louder until it was all around her." Page 64.

It's about a girl who lives on this incredible farm that seems to stretch for miles. She has almost a connection with the earth. One day some otter stands on its hind legs and says that she needs to help it. This otters name is Gaia. Gaia is the earth. At the same time evil Harmony Farms a factory farm is buying land from the farmers in Avon.  

"Boy, they made it sound so great. Harmony Farms was feeding the hungry and doing it cheaply... It made her feel weird but not as weird as what she was next... Such farms were called CAFOs, Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations. The pictures were disgusting. Pigs were crammed so close together they bit each other's tails! Chickens had their beaks burned dull. Cows pumped full of antibiotics and things called growth hormones and then killed by shooting a bolt in their brains. And it got worse... air for miles around had toxic chemicals in it. It ran off into rivers and streams and ruined them. Those living near it had to move because of asthma attacks and giant swarms of flies." Pages 174-175.

This is why Gaia was asking for help. She was becoming destroyed. She needed Elizabeth to help her save herself.

So far I like this book because it is about saving the planet and has an important message. This is a series of six. I hope that you try it or one of the others. I would rate this book a perfect ten.

The BFG

There is a giant named BFG. I was wondering What BFG stands for. I tried to figure out what starts with a B,F, and a G My first guess was Big Frightening Giant. My second guess was Bored Fighting Giant. My third guess was the Big Firendly Giant. If you want to know which name fits him the best you will just have to read the book. I would rate this book a 9 because I want to be precise. Not all books are 10. I would recomend this book if you like heart warming, and funny books then you would like the BFG.

Deep Wizardry

Deep Wizardry is a great book if you liked the Harry Potter series. Deep Wizardry is the second book in the Young Wizards Series. The first book is So You Want to be a Wizard. In both the Harry Potter and Young Wizards series, the main wizards are about the same age. However, the books have more differences than similarities. One difference is that the authors have very different styles of writing. When I read Harry Potter I can see parts of the book flashing my mind. I don't think that I do that because I saw the Harry Potter movies. I was seeing parts of the book in my mind even before the movies came out. In Deep Wizardry it is harder for me to see parts of the book in my mind. I liked this book because it has a few more surprises than the first book of the series. Deep Wizardry hooked me in as soon as I started reading it. I just could not put the book down! I think that the book can be confusing at times, but still very interesting. I strongly suggest that you read the first book before you read this one or you will be really confused. I would rate this book as a 10 for the whole book, but my rating would vary for different parts of the book.

Lionboy: The Chase - Book Two

I am reading Lion Boy: The Chase. I really enjoy the detail that the author puts into these books. In the book there is a animal called a Saber Toothed Lion but they said that Snowy leaperds had gone extinced. I don't think they have gone extinced yet witch enfasises Annapurna saying that she thought this toke place in the future. I have a feeling the anwser to this question is yes but, I was woundering if there is a natural history musseum in France? The reason I ask this is because they talked about one in the book.

Walk Two Moons

This book is one of the best books i have ever read. This book got a New Berry Award for best book.In this book it talks about this girl named Sal, She meets this girl named Pheobe, Pheobe is a girl that is funny but at the same thime very cautious about her surondings. There are 4 main charecters in this book, there are Sal, Pheobe, Grams ( who is really the grandma), Gramps ( who is really the grampa). When i read this book, what goes through my mind is: "O that is really sad" or " thats funny" or i can just picture what is happening in my mind, ex: when the grampa took of his shirt, and his pants but did not take of his boxers and when the grandma got bitten by a snake on the ankle and a boy they met had to suck and spit either the blood or the poison so she could live ( that part kind of scarrred me because i thought she was going to die).

I would give this book a 10 because this book is so well written and all the other books by Sharon Chreech are so well written.

Salamandastron

Salamandastron is a book in the series called Redwall, and like many books I read it's perfect for me.And I'm downright happy with that!  Something unique about Redwall(the series)all the characters are animals, such as Hares, Mice, shrews, Toads, Rats, Weasels, stoats, and Ferrets!  Salamandasron is a huge mountain that has a big castle carved into it, it holds a large fighting Badger(Badgers, for the most part are fierce warriers) and about forty fighting Hares armed with javelins, bows, and speares.  I would rate this book a 10!

The Blindside

The Blindside is a book about football and a kid named Micheal Oher. He is a 6'6, 345 lb. 16 year old. He grew up in West Memphis, the black part of Memphis. His mom is addicted to crack and his dad is dead. His mom wanted him to go to a christian school instead of a public school. So he goes to a school in East Memphis, the white part of Memphis. When I read this book the voice inside my head is saying, "wow, he is big!" or "my mom so copied that line from this book" (My mom read this book.) I would rate this book a 9 just because I'm not very far in it.

Forever... part 2

I know I have already posted about this book before but I read it again in Mexico and decide I just don't like it! I think I have grown out of the romance genre believe it or not. The whole thing just annoys me and the voices in my head were saying, "Wow, this is incredibly stupid." I think what changed my mind is that I've realized romance IS overrated. Okay, so you love somebody, move on with your life! Jeez, this has gotten me really worked up. Anyway, if your interested read the book but it has sex in it so beware.

The Spiderwick Chronicles

The Spiderwick Chronicles is about a family that his dad left his family. The kids names were Mallory Simon and Jared were moved to there aunt Lucinda. The Field guide is book one and it is really good i all ready read the sires and it was really good if you like fairies. There is going to be a movie in theaters on February 14, 2008. Some movies of books they ruin but others are awesome like Eragon and Harry Potter. This might be one of the ggod or the bad. My voice says that there will be a lot f action in the fifth book i wonder if the second sires is going to be good.

Flipped

The book Flipped, is about a little girl called Juliana who likes a boy who's name I dont remember. The girl follows the boy everywhere and does not leave him alone, but the boy wants too be left alone. I think he should just go out and be friends. If he just keeps on ignoring her something bad will most likely happen. In the book he makes many bad choises and you learn a lot from his many mistakes. In this book you ethier think "that was nice!" or "WHY DID YOU DO THAT!!!".

Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood

Girls in Pants is a great book so far because I read the first two books and liked them a lot. But I have not finished the third book. I also like the book because you have to read the other two before like in order. The second voice in my head when I am reading says wait " I am confused, no never mind, oh it was in the book before."  I would give it a 10 so far. It is really good.

Summer Ball

Summer Ball is about a boy named Danny Walker. Danny is an amazing basketball player(like his dad). But, Danny is very short. Although he has learned how to use his shortness to his advantage, and he's very good at basketball, he still has a lot of things to learn about the game. His dad signs him up for a hard core basketball summer camp that only exeptionaly good players go to. Danny, and his two friends, Ty and Will, decide to go to the camp(although none of them are very exited about it). At camp Danny runs into mean people, though times and new friends. But he ends up getting through it and in my oppinion, when he leaves camp, he's a whole different person. Some parts of this book made me feel like I was in the story, or at least I wanted to be in the story. Other parts made me feel completely furios with some characters. And there were even some really touching parts. I would rate this book a 9. This is one of my top 15 favorite books!

Dear America Series

These books don't exactly qualify for a series but thats alright. These books are dairies. I know that this doesn't sound very cool but all of them are great. You have to have some back ground knowledge or the stories get super confusing. I like these books because it being a dairy you have the same thoughts that the person writing has. Like if someone is stealing and only the one person knows about it then you can feel the frustration they must feel. They are also really good for creating these little pictures in your mind because it's in a form that ( because the person is telling the dairy) lets you ask a ton of questions about what other people think and feel, what the writer felt and what life was like then. It also is really fun to ( because these books are historical fiction) read other books about that time period and make connections. That is what I've been doing with my History of Us book. I keep seeing things or they talk about things that I have found somewhere in the book. They don't really come in an order but you can read them according to the year they are based on. I think that these books are an eight not ten because they aren't really the best ever book but they are pretty good.

Sheep and Goat

If you saw a book called Sheep and Goat would you want to read it? I thought that sounds like a stupid book. Then when I picked it up and read the first page I said wow this book is actually good. Now I learned two things when I read this book. The first thing I learned was this sheep was really rude to the goat and they went through problems like people do. They show how they would solve it and I was thinking "you know this really makes you think of your life and your own problems". The second thing it taught me was that you never judge a book by its cover or its title. I rate this book a 7 because it kind of gives you help on your life.

No Talking

Do you talk a lot? Could you spend two whole days without talking? I would not spend two whole days without talking if I could chose, but if I had to spend two whole day without talking I could probably just make it. I think it would be hard not to talk for two days because talking is the main way we communicate. If I have a question I say it out loud. If I want to tell my friend something I say it to them. We don't write notes to tell our friends something, we talk. No Talking is a book about 5th graders that can't stop talking. Yada yada yada, all day long. Then a contest starts. The contest is to see who can say the least number of words, the boys or the girls? Who do YOU think will win?

The Ghost of Fossil Glen

This book may sound cheesy, but in my opinion, it is one of the best books ever. This book is about a girl, Allie, who has strange things beginning to happen to her. For example, When she needed a journal, one appeared in the mail, there was no return address. And it was all blank. But then when she leaves the book closed in her room, she comes back to find the book opened, with cursive letters that read, I am L. I think that I am L, is only part of a sentence, and it wasn't finished. Later in the story, it said that Allie found a grave stone in the same place where she had first had these strange happenings occur (Fossil Glen), that said R.I.P Lucy. It think that The words that she found in her notebook, I am L, will be finished and end up saying I am Lucy. She also has been hearing voices, but I don't want to give away to much of the story.

When i read this book, there are many thoughts in my head that are related to the story. I have never gotten lost in this book, that is how good it is! I haven't gotten very far, but I am itching to read more! This book has great detail.

I think that The Ghost of Fossil Glen is a good book to read because it ties into real life, like, Allie has some friend troubles. For example, some of Allies friends were talking about her behind her back, and Allie finds out. And you will have to find out what happens. This book is not all friend troubles, and stuff like that, it is mostly mystery. This book is so great!

The Last Dragon

I am reading a book thats is called "The last Dragon". The boy in this book is sad because he has to go visit his "great aunt" in Chinatown. But the boy doesn't even know her. But he gets a really good seprise. His "great aunt" lives write above a noodle factory. It would be hard for me to go visit my "great aunt" that I don't even know and to leave my parents. Know he has a place to remember his whole life. He hung it on his "great aunts" coat hanger and it drags to the floor. I wonder if he'll want to go when it is time to leave. I would give this book an 8 1/2 because I like the story because it is fun learning about his life. I wouldn't give it a 10 because it is not my favorite book.

I would love to go to his "great aunts" house because she lives write above a noodle factory. I would love to go there because I love noodles a lot.

The Get Rich Quick Club

The Get Rich Quick Club is about a girl who wants to be a millionaire. Though, her family doesn't have a lot money. So she starts a club with a group of kids, and they hatch a scheme, to become millionaires.

I thought the book was really funny because it had a girl in it who came from Australia and the author came up with a whole bunch of funny words for her to use. Here are some examples: stroppy= bad mood, dead horse=tomato sauce, flog=sell crumpet=worthless, frog in a sock=mad.

The author chose an unusual topic, I don't know of many authors that would choose that sort of topic. It was really, really, funny and I would rate it a 8.

The Sisters Club

This book I just finished yesterday. I loved it to. This book is about 3 sisters Joey age 8,Stevie age 10,and Alex age 12 and 3/4. They have a club called the sisters club. Let me explain what some of the things about the sisters club. Mascot Alex's sock monkey. Place Alex's room. No saying nutjob (that bugs Alex). Also no stealing stuff from Alex's room (expesaly stuff with glitter). This book is by Megan McDonald the athor of the Judy Moody books. So any fans of Judy Moody I would defiently recomend it. 

Mossflower

This is another exiting book in the Redwall series. It's filled with action and strategy. It sometimes makes me wish that it would just finish the scene before going to a different one. It can be so exiting and full of suspense,but then it moves to a different group of people and leaves it for later in the book. Every time it changes scenes I scream arrrgh! in my head because it ends on a cliff hanger. They also do things really stupid or dangerous, like stealing food from the most dangerous queen in Mossflower woods, but they aren't all that scared. They even seem like they don't really care and just think they can escape in a heartbeat. It's a very complicated and thick book so I don't have too many comments to make.

Abel's Island

Abel's Island is about a very elegant and I'm guessing rich mouse named Abel. Abel gets tossed and tumbled in a storm and is washed up on to a beautiful but uninhabited island.

I haven't finished this book yet but it is very interesting and cute. Abel has to learn to adapt to the island until help comes. I think that he is going to end up bringing his wife on the island to live with him. He is blocked off by a river but the river is very strong so Abel can not cross it. He can't swim, go by boat or even make a bridge!

I would definitely give this book a 10 because of it's excellent meaning and it's wonderful detail.

Stanford Wong Flunks Big Time

This book in the same time period a Millicent Min Girl Genius. Stanford flunks 6th grade English and instead of going to basketball camp he has to go to summer camp, so he can go to 7th grade. In Millicent Min Girl Genius it show what Millicent's point of view is and in this book it shows Standford's point of view. It's interesting to see how their thinking is alike and not alike.I liked that the author use the same time peroid but she used different ponts of view in the 3 books she wrote.

Franny K. Stein the Fran with Four Brains

This book is the latest book in the Franny K. Stein series. To me I think it is the best.Because it is the only one where she is really really really close to geting killed. O.k. i'll start from the begining. Boy I hope that I can make it. It's so hard to not give it away! O.k. here it goes. In this story she makes robots so that she csn be less busy and stressed out. But then they turn evil,and plan to take overthe world so that no one can get in their way of excellence. 

Nicholas

This book is about a French school-boy named Nicholas, and he has a "gang" of friends at school. They are always getting into trouble and it's really funny. The voices in my head when I was reading this were really connecting and it was almost like I was having a conversation with the characters in the book like I was Nicholas. This is a series and the next book is Nicholas Again, followed by Nicholas on Vacation, and Nicholas and the Gang. I also like this book because every other page or so it has funny little drawings.I would give this book a 10 because it was one of the best I've read all year.

His Dark Materials

His Dark Materials are the most confusing, scariest, saddest, weirdest, coolest, most magical books I have ever read. It's very weird to think about everyone having their soul outside of their body. Then, you think it's weird to meet someone that's normal. How strange is that? What I also think is really cool is that every magic thing I had heard about that was magic was in there. right now I am about 100 pages to finishing the Amber Spyglass, (the third book in the series) and I'm thinking about putting the book down. I'm really not enjoying it as much as I could if I understood it. I also wouldn't want to have someone with my same problem. So all those His Dark Materials readers: hold off on the Amber Spyglass unless you want it to be at it's best.

Paint The Wind

This book is about a horse named Artimisa and a girl named Maya and when I read it I thought it was just a reguler horse story but it wasn't. I was really srprized. It was more like a zig zag way and cunected later. What I really liked was that it had a glocery in the back if you didn't know what something ment or if you wanted to find out who the people were. It was more like a advenchr story insted of a mystery.

Never Mind

Never Mind is a book about twins named Meg and Edward, they say that they have nothing incomin and they are nothing alike. This book is very good and if you are a twin then you mite laugh in your head or out loud. When I read this book, what was going through my mind/head was that it was funny that they would go through each other and talk about funny stuff that the other twin does that is ethier funny or embarasing. I would reccomened this book who likes funny books/but also switching of topics and people. I would give this book and 9, in the middle of them.

Short & Shivery-Tales from the Dark

You will find in these thirty chilling tales: you will feel darkness in the air you will hear a screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech and then a BOO!!! I'm warning you don't read this book in a dark room all alone. This is one of my favorite books because I'm a kind of guy that likes all of the above and I hope you'll love it too! Moa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Millicent Min Girl Genius

Millicent Min is about a girl name Millicent. She's in 10th grade but she's only 11 because she's a genius. She doesn't have any friends in the beginning but she meets a girl named Emily. Millicent doesn't tell Emily that she's a genius though because Millicent have had people that don't want to be friends with her or use her because she's a genius and she didn't want Emily to think or do that her.

I think that Millicent should tell Emily because I think Emily will still be friends with Millicent but I don't know. I would sitle be her friend if I was Emily. When will Millicent tell Emily? I would give this book a 9 so far.

From The Mixed Up Files Of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler

I think this is deffenatly a fith grade book because it has a more advanced vocabulary then ushewal. It is not a huge book but good for homework reading.  I thought that it was stupid to run away from home and hide in a museum. I was suprised that they where able to stay in the museum and then run back home without being discovered. I would rate this book in 8 because it did not have much plot or exitement and the auther wrote down some important things in the story to quickly sometimes. My sister recomended it.

Life of Pi

Life of Pi is a great book. When I was reading there is a part where Piscine (Pi for short) is stranded on the boat and a turtle swims by and he grabs it and cuts his neck to kill it. I was wondering when I read this part, well first I was grossed out, if he would just eat the fins and the head? This might not want you to read this book but there are sad, happy and weird things too. When I was reading this book I had questions like why did the ship sink and why was Pi the only human survivor? These questions make you more and more interested, well for me it did. I would rate this book a 10 because it is exciting and very fascinating.

Gregor and the Code of Claw

This book is one of the best in its seriese. Even if you read the first book, and didn't like it. I recomend giving the second book( Gregor and the Proficy of Bane) a go. If you don't like that one, you might not want to read this seriese.

It might be a little intense soumetimes, so if you're a person who can handle stuff like underground wars betwean giant rats, giant cochroches, giant bats, giant spiders, giant mice, and other stuff like that, you'll be able to handle it.

Because I loved the other books in the seriese, I never got bored while reading this book. I sometimes cought myself saying stuff like, "don't do that!", "It's a trap!", or"you finaly figured it out!"I feel that if you get into the seriese, you'll love this book.

The Titan's Curse

The Titans Curse is the sequel to the sea of monsters and the lightning theif. The titans curse is for me the best of all three books. The voice in my head is all ways thinking the odds. I think that this seares is better than the Harry Potter seires The thing in this book is about a kid named Percy Jakson he is twelve years old and he figures out he is a half blood. A half blood is someone who has a god parent and a human parent. This is a book about the greek gods and the romans changed there names. I would give this book a 10 because it has adventure,humer and a little of romance. It preety much has every thing.

Heartbeat

I was reading Heartbeat with Baliey in a book club. This book is really diffent then I thought it would be like. I thought it would be about a peorsons picture of an appel. But it is a littel different. So for me and Baliey's progect we are panting appels and doing stuff on appels. I would give this book a 9  because it is a really good book but not a 10 tip of book. I like the book I mite read this book again.
