Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh is about a mouse (and widow of Jonathon) named Mrs. Frisby. She finds out that her youngest son, Timothy has pneumonia. That means that he can't go outside for a couple of weeks. The catch is that they live on a farm and the farmer is going to take the plow out in a couple of days. That would tear up Mrs. Frisby's house! She goes from place to place, asking for help, until she runs in to the rats of Nimh.

I, so far, love this book! I really like how the author writes with such detail. The plot is very deep too. Sometimes, it seems as if I am in the book! It is really interesting how Mrs. Frisby connects, some how, with the rats of Nimh! It is really hard not to give away this book because there are amazing things that happen but they don't have anything to do with the plot! The problem about this book is that it isn't told in first person. For some unexplainable reason, I like a book written in first person. I think that it's because I can really get the feel of the main character's thoughts! Although, I would still rate this book a ten! Enjoy!

  1. I really liked your post, Izzy! It told me about the book, and didn't give it away even though you said it was hard not to. It also told me how you "see it" when you said that you sometimes feel like you are in the book.

Anyway, I have one question. What exactly are "the rats of nimh?" If I knew that, it would help me understand your post more. Oh, and what do they do?

This just popped into my head when I read your post (I don't know why): "Wow! This post reminds me of my cousin, Julia." Maybe that came to my mind because-well, I have no idea.

    this post was great!

  2. I'm glad that you like that book Izzy. If you like that then you might like Racso and the Rats of Nimh. It will cure your curiosity and it's a great seaqual.
