The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle (Eva, Levi, Ben, Riley, Jack)

  1. This book has been a good read, but it has been a little boring. There were many parts were I felt like nothing was happening. I prefer books with a little more action. However, there were parts that I liked in this book because it can be a real page-turner at some parts. If anyone wants to read it I would recommend they be in 7th grade because I found some parts difficult to understand. My favorite part was when Charlotte was getting something from her bag and she saw the face. I liked that part because it was like a ghost part and I like ghost stories because they are scary. I hope you like it if you read it.

  3. This book is really slow so half the time I just wanted to get to the action. It is kind of like one of the books that says and then, and then, and then over, and over. Im sorry but carrying luggage all the time just doesn't seem interesting. Dirks are cool but it would be better if she used it more. My favorite character is probably Zachariah because I like when he tells stories. Since this book is so slow and it would make me bored I would not recommend this book.

  4. Charlotte is a real character in this book, and yet a very boring one at that. This book is easily the most slow paced book I have ever read, and the characters are horrid at talking and there grammar is off even if it is from the 1600's they did not talk like that.
All in all this book is very slow paced and not action like unless you enjoy being a very non-interesting book reader, I do not recommend this book at all.

  5. The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is a good book, well that is until you get past the beginning it is really interesting. It is a combo of action, mystery, and adventure. The only problem besides the beginning is that it can be confusing because of all the ship talk. I think that though it is a little confusing it really is a good book. Reading it really is making me use my background knowledge.
It is an interesting book and if people stick with it, I think that many people would like it.
