The Invention of Hugo Cabret

The book I am reading is good and exciting book. It is scary and interesting at the same time. It is action packed book and when you think it couldn't get any more exciting it does. It has lot of pictures that tell the story. The pictures are really good and they are also very strong and cool. I would recommend this book to people who like pictures. While I was reading this book I was wondering how this guy could draw these pictures. I wonder what it would be like if I was Hugo but happily I am not.

  1. I'm wondering what kind of things you were thinking about when you read this book? Do you have any connections to the main characters?

  2. As I was reading your post, it maid me think about how much I enjoyed all the illustrations in it. It is so weird how you can read such a long book in just a few amount of days.

  3. You're right about how strange it felt to read such a voluminous book so quickly. Because I loved this book so much, I felt ripped off because it the story was over too soon!

  4. I agree. It was such a good book, but it ended to soon. I really liked the illistrations. I wouldn't want to be Hugo either. It would be a really hard and scary life. I don't really like the idea of being scared that the station inspecter is behind every corner. I really like the book and I would give it a ten from one-ten because of the graet story line and all the fabolous illistrations.

  5. Matia-
You're so right! The Invention Of Hugo Cabret is the best book ever! When I read the book I thought that the illustrations where SO cool! the whole story line was interesting to, and both the pictures and the story together was even more interesting. I also think that there was more illustrations then then there was writing. But don't you think that the book ended so soon? The book goes by so quickly!

  6. I just started reading The Invention of Hugo Cabret and I love the drawings they make you feel like you are in the book you are part of the scene you are with Hugo you are interested and I examine the pictures seeing the book in a different way. Most books are told by words and there may be some pictures to show what the author was thinking and writing but the pictures in here were telling the story along with the words but the words tell what is happening but the pictures tell the story and I really like the book but it is going so fast and I think it might end too quickly because I really like the book and I'm pretty far in it so if it goes too soon I blame the author for not writing enough! But I do think the pictures are amazing and they are part of the book they tell the story. But I also love how they zoom in on things so you get a better view and you notice important little details that are really cool and you see his personality in the pictures more than you do when they tell you in the text. Those are some of the things I like about the book but I also like the words they use because it is very descriptive and I like that.

  8. The Invention of Hugo Cabret was a really good book. The pictures show the emotions and feelings more than in a book that just has words can. I liked the book because Hugo was interested in electronics like me. The idea of a machine that is made by hand that can write, dance, sing, or draw pictures is amazing. I think it would be cool to make something like that but the bad thing is that it would take forever.
