  1. After reading the first 71 pages of the book Eggs by Jerry Spinelli, I can't wait to read more. Although I think that this book is just a little bit too easy for me to read as a just right reading book, considering the fact that I read all of the assigned book group reading in about 2 and a half hours on the very first day I was handed the book, I am really quite intrigued into the story of Primrose and David. I can't wait for our next book group reading meeting, even though I am having a very interesting time working on my quad. But overall, I really just cannot wait to read more of EGGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. This book is very good. It makes you think a lot and you have lots of questions. One of my question was why was David so grumpy? Then they told use his mom died. Then I wondered how his mom died and then it told me she slipped down the stairs and hit her head and died on April 29. I also had some connections one of them was Sometimes that I am bad to and don't take a punishment. I also have a text to text connection. I am reading Tom Sawyer at night and Tom is very naughty like David.

  3. Eggs is a good book through 71 pages, because it is a mix between humor and violence towards grandmothers, just kidding, but it is a mix between humor and I guess it is a tragedy because the girl David found was I guess dead. I think Jerry Spinelli is a great author he is definitely one of my favorite authors he can write different kind of books he can write with humor, and the next day start a parent book. I've read two other books by Jerry Spinelli they are called Do The Funky Pickle and Report To The Principals Office. I honestly think that there were to chapters that were extremely boring to me, but everything besides that was really good. I would recommend Eggs to every single Jerry Spinelli fans and everybody who likes books that have humor in them. I think Jerry Spinelli would be my Newberry Medal winner with ease.

  4. Eggs is a great book so far. It will be intriguing, as well, for some of us. But all the questions that pop into our heads, are odd. Here's one, for example. How did the book get its name? Others question the relationship of David and Primrose. Who will know what happens to them, getting stuff such as the rocking chair, in such manner. More importantly, what will happen to their relationship? But, on the first page, David said he didn't need friends, so either the relationship is a bust, or David will break his promise. Which will it be?

  5. I think that the book could have had a better ending because the book just stops and you don't now what will happen to him. It also doesn't really say anything about his dad. You don't now if he is tall or what color his hair is. I think that they could have explained the about the book. Other than that it was a great and I would recommend it to anyone how likes adventure.

  6. The book Eggs by author Jerry Spinelli was a very interresting read for me. At first I thought that the book was way too easy, but then I realized that I just wasn't really trying to get something meaningful out of the book and all of it's characters. I think that Jerry Spinelli chose a very interesting title. At first I didn't understand why he named the book EGGS, but then at very end of the book, it tells you why. I didn't realize that a sunrise would mean so much to this book or its title.
All in all, EGGS was a great book for me, and other people in our class would definitely like it.

  7. Eggs is an awesome book so far! Jerry Spinelli has a very interesting style of writing. I think that The waving man could be Primroses dad, and thats because in other books the main character hates the bad character and in the end the main character loves the bad character so maybe because primrose hated the idea of the waving man being her father, he will be.

  8. What I loved about the book was that it seemed so real. I could just picture Primroses evil face before she left David alone in the feild. What I didn't like was there were too many unanswered questions like who really is Primrose's dad? And Where is David's grandfather? The authors writing style is really good and I think he must of started writing when he was really young. I think the audience for this book is all young people who have lost somone they love and thats because then they can see in the book that you can be happy without somone you have lost. I would give this book a 4.

  9. Eggs is a good book, but maybe not a great. Or maybe it is not that simple. You see, Eggs keeps going between okay and great, so I would give it a 4. The appropriate audience would be between 8 and 13 years old, but the vocabulary would be hard for third graders. The author's writing style is good, except for the extremely predictable ending.
What I like about the book is the odd stuff going on in the world of David. I like it whenever there's a lot of action. I dislike it whenever there's nothing going on or/and the characters are lazing around. Like I said before, I'd give it a 4.

  10. I would say Eggs was a really good book. Why? I'll tell you, first of all the author, Jerry Spinelli I think he is a good author because a couple of the other books I've read by him were funny, this book isn't that funny, and I like reading different types of books, right now I am reading the Lightning Thief which is a totally different book for me, but still it is very interesting just like Eggs. I would rate Eggs a 9 out of 10 if 10 is the best, I would have rated Eggs a 10, but it had 2 or 3 chapters which were kind of like a retell of what already happened, I just wanted to put the book down, instead of doing the reading I was assigned. In my opinion that was really annoying. The audience would be for about 7 year olds to about 13 year olds. I honestly think Jerry Spinelli has more than one style I think he has 2 or 3 but all of the styles I have read by him are really good.
