I am reading the third of the 39 Clues series. I would totally suggest these books. It's really cool because there is one author for each book and one book for each clue. So there is a pretty big chance you will find your favorite author on the cover of a 39 Clues book.
These books are very intriging because there is a great mix of mystery, action, adventure, thrill, and fright. Seriously some parts in this book really creep me out. So I think this book would be great for any gender any time. It's really a good read.
If you like the third book Henry, wait until you read the fourth and fifth ones. I agree with you that the third book is very good, especially when the Samurai chases Amy and Dan which I though was very exciting.I also think that these books are great for all genders because the story is told from both Amy and Dan's point of view
