Rules

I have recently read a book called Rules by Cynthia Lord. It is about a girl, Chirstian who's brother, David has autism.  It is called Rules because David has rules he has to follow like "Chew with your mouth closed. She wants a normal brother but she doesn't. Her brother goes to a place called OT. She meets a boy there, Jason. He can not talk so he has note cards that have words on them. When he wants to say something he will flip to the word he wants to say and taps it. If you want to find out the details, read this book! Anyway, this is a great book.


I like it because it because it was interesting. But at some parts it made me cry because Christian yells at David because she wants a normal brother and she yells "Chew with your mouth closed! No toys in the fish tank! Don't you get it?" Then David starts crying and screaming in between sobs "No toys in the fish tank! Knock on the door before you go in it!"ext. And I just felt so bad for David and Chirstian.

Besides sad parts, this is a great book for anyone. If people find this book in a store or library they should read it!
