Anastasia at this Address

Anastasia at this Address by Lois Lowry is the best book in the whole intire world. So let me tell the summary. Anastasia is a junior bridesmaid at a wedding. Anastasia and all her friends say that they are going to lay of chasing boys around to like them but, Anastasia is writing to a SWM (single white man.) They keep sending letters untill the real biggie comes along. But I am not going to tell because that would give the whole book away.

I think that this author gives you lots of detail about how the person is feeling and so on. She she gives you the real picture in your head. In some other books you would have to look at the cover and try to picture something yourself. But Lois Lowry give you the real picture with her talented ways of writing her books. In the first book it tells a really detailed sentence " Her glasses were as big as owls eyes." I really love that sentence.(The Anastasia Krupnik seires is not at borders if you are looking for it. I think they were written in like the late 1980's.)

I am not that big on reading and I adore these books so much I could marry them and live happily ever after. If you are wondering why I am saying "these books." there is more books if you are interested.

The Last Olympian

I am reading The Last Olympian right now and to tell you the truth I'm kind of scared for Percy! This book is the fifth and finale book of the Percy Jackson and Olympian series. I really like this book, because it's entertaining and beautifully written as the mystery unravels, and well, I think this book is probably going to be one of the best out of the series. The reason I say that is because this book will be the book that the author, Rick Riordan will have to wrap everything up and get his last words out.

One reason why I'm scared for Percy is because in this book so far, Percy has traveled about with an old friend of his and done some very dangerous things so that he can defeat the evil Titan Lord Kronos himself. Another reason I'm scared is because right now Percy and about 40 other half-bloods are fighting a war against Kronos's army of about 300 monsters, I mean how unfair is that right?Anyway, Percy and his friends are fighting so that the Gods palace doesn't get destroyed and the world doesn't come to end. Pretty big thing for a bunch of kids to be doing, huh!

Yet here is another reason, why I'm biting my fingernails in bed. The Olympian Gods are fighting a huge powerful monster that has been woken from centuries of  sleep by a young boy named Percy by accident. The last time they had to fight this monster they almost lost to him, and if the gods almost lost when they were more powerful, it's upsetting to think what will happen to them now, but who knows.

There is another thing that is very sad, and I'm hoping it won't happen to Percy, but in the Great Prophecy  (an old special hippy mummy that tells the future in rhyming strange ways) says something bad will happen to Percy, I don't want to tell you exactly what it says, or it will ruin the surprise. But sometimes the Oracle means something in a different way. I'm hoping so!

This book looks like it has a lot of sad tragic parts, and I have already had another thing in this book happen to one of Percy's friends, but I think he'll be okay. Anyway I doubt that all of the problems I have explained will go down-hill, and besides, I am dying to find out what happens next. This mystery is just getting juicy!

This book is funny, hopefully not too sad, full of butt kicking action, and even a tiny bit of romance. And no I am not going to tell you why because that's for you to find out yourself!

The Princess Academy

The Princess Academy by Shannon Hale is about Miri and 20 other girls aged 12 to 18. They come from Mount Eskel to attend an academy for a year to learn proper etiquette. In the academy they learn skills to impress the prince so they can marry him.

When you see the cover of the Princess Academy, you think: pink, fluffy, and timid. These girls are the opposite. They are tough and intelligent. These girls are confident because they will fight for their rights. In the book they had to be separated from their families for a full year. They all banded together against their tutor Olana, and used their knowledge to defend their rights to see their families once a month when the traders came. Another example that showed how they stand up for themselves, is getting their tutor to stop abusing them if they spoke out of turn of misbehaved.  Miri had accidentially spoken out of turn, and was locked up in a closet with a rat for hours too long to count. They all stood up to Olana their tutor and never gave up until Olana promised never to do it again.

These girls are not only mentally robust, but physically too. They are very intelligent because when they came to the academy all they knew was quarry work. By the end of the year, they learned every subject and proper manners too. When the hostages came, they wanted to know who the princess was so they could kill her. All the girls acted like they were her without communicating with each other in order to confuse the hostages.
I think this story shows that you should never judge a book by it's cover. Even though the book cover may look or sound interesting or boring, the title does not define the text.

The School Mouse

I am reading the book The School Mouse. In the book The School Mouse a mouse named flora is born. I will tell a little about what flora and her brothers and sisters do. During the day well all of her brothers and sisters are asleep she watched and learned from a hole in one of the kindergarten classrooms. Eventually she learns to read so when her brother gets the whole colony in trouble she is prepared to save herself.

I really enjoyed reading it reading this book because it is filled with lots of mystery and suspension. It got its boring parts though, for example they tell a lot, about how she sits and learns.
I think the authors note was that you should never judge somebody unfairly the reason I think that because flora’s parents thought she was crazy when she told them that she was learning to read.

I really like floras caricature trades one I like, is that she is very frank, I think that is my favorite part about her.
The only thing I did not like was the fact that the author didn’t expand his ideas. Like in chapter three it tells that the head mistress did not like mice in the least but the question that popped in to my head was, why didn’t the head mistress not like mice was there a reason?

Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life

Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass, is probably the best book I have ever read. I've only read the first few pages, and I am really loving it. Jeremy is the main character and Lizzy is his best friend. Jeremy's dad passed away and his mother works late, so he barely gets to see her.

Guess what made me want to finish this book? Well, the first sentence did. It was, ''my sweat smells like peanut butter''. After I scanned over that, there was no way to make me stop reading. My first thoughts were, why? and how? But it was also kind of funny. I love starting a new book because I never know what the first words are going to be.

This book was in a realistic fiction bin, but I think it has some mystery in it too. How many keys are in this world? There are so many. Jeremy is trying to find six certain keys before his 13th birthday. When there is something missing and it's nowhere to be seen, I would call it a mystery.

I made up a name for this book or a word to describe it. ''Juicy''. Why do I call this book juicy? It is because there are a lot of surprises. For example, when Lizzy makes a suggestion, such as, ''lets walk to the supermarket'', I never know how Jeremy is going to respond. I make a guess on what he might say, and then I read on. My guess is usually the opposite of what he says. I get so excited when another juicy part hits my eye.

Over all, I absolutely love this book and there is no reason for every one else not to try it too. Have fun reading!

The Sight

I am reading the book The Sight, the thirteenth book of the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. The story is about three apprentice kits (kittens) that hold the fate of the whole cat clan in their paws. The kits are unusual because they have special powers. Lionpaw can see dead warrior ghosts, for example, which helps him practice fighting moves and gives him helpful advice for the future. I think that giving these kinds of powers to a cat makes the cat seem more like a person. It surprised me to read about cats this way because it’s really not the way I thought cats would think.

I found it interesting the way Erin Hunter describes the anger some cats feel against cats that are not clanborn. For example Dustpelt, a clanborn cat, protests taking a kittypet into the clan. He says it would “weaken” the clan to include her. He is so angry he almost turns his back on his own clan leader just to keep her out.

This made me think of the Harry Potter books where Muggle-borns are also teased and tormented and where Voldemort goes so far as to make a plan to wipe Muggleborns out of the world.

Reading all this makes me feel bad that there are so many bad guys in the world, whether they’re cats or wizards. Still, I liked reading the book and I can recommend it to anyone who likes books with animals and adventure.

The Titan's Curse

I am reading The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan. I am reading the series and this is the third book. This book is about Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, going on another quest to save Annebeth and trying to destroy Cronus.

I love this book because it has a bunch of action and it has Greek mythology. I can not stop reading this series! I read about 50-80 pages a night. I know that's a lot but I cant help myself. My other friends are reading it so slowly its seems that they are in slow motion. There are about any creature you can think of. For example there are Pegasus', hell hounds, the fates, furies, cyclops, and more. Everything in the series everything is so magical. There are A LOT of action parts which I LOVE. This book can also get confusing at some parts and they get you hooked. I was reading the book and the chapter said A Friend Says Good-Bye and I was like, "what who is it?!" they also have really funny chapter names. For example, one is called I Wrestle Santa Clauses Twin, another one is called I Go Snowboarding With A Pig. Sometimes the title of the book doesn't even have to with the book at all. The second book called The Sea of Monsters there was only one chapter that had to do with the book.

In conclusion I love this book the most out of the first three books of the series. I cant stop reading! The only warning I should tell is that I think it is a better idea to read about the greek gods/godess, either than that have a blast!

The Mysterious Benedict Society

The
Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart is about kids who take really hard tests and only four kids end up passing all of them. The four kids meet the creator of the tests, Mr. Benedict, and he sends them on a mission that nobody else can do because they're the only people smart enough.

I have to say my favorite character is Kate, Kate is one of the four kids who passed the tests. I like her because she is likes doing what has to be done, I say that because she carries a bucket that has a rope , a sling shot, marbles a pocket knife, etc. That's usually stuff that helps get most things done. She also is really creative, for example, a question on one of the harder tests was that they had to go from yellow square to yellow square without their feet touching the ground. The yellow squares were about 10 feet away from each other. So she walked from yellow square to yellow square no her hands. She is also very brave, because she had to swim in a really dirty lake so she wouldn't get caught. The lake had lots of sharp jagged rocks that looked like a sharks dorsal fin, even though she got scared out of her wits she still stayed calm. I would definitely consider that brave.

When I picked out this book I read the back and I'm almost done with The Mysterious Benedict Society but I think the back cover might a little bit better than the actual book itself.

I enjoyed and if you take my advice and read The Mysterious Benedict Society I hope you enjoy it.

Fairest

I am reading the book Fairest by Gail Carson Levine. I can't put it down. The book Fairest is about a girl name Aza who only wants to be pretty. When the Italicduchess comes to Aza's family inn, the duchess hears Aza sing and is amazed. Pretty soon after Aza gets invited to sing at the castle.

I think the book Fairest is a very good book and anybody would like it. It is full of detail and very interesting. I read every night before I go to bed and I have been reading Fairest for the past couple of nights and my mom has to beg me to go to bed because I want to read the book because it's so good. One of the reasons I like this book so much is because of the detail. The author put in so much detail I feel like I am in the book. For example, when the queen had her wedding there was so much detail I felt like I was at the wedding and that I was in the book. Another reason I love this book is that it has a lot of cliffhangers and almost every time I stop reading there is a cliffhanger and that always makes me want to read more and more and before I know it, it's ten o'clock at night. An example of that would be when you don't know if the king will live or not. This book is just like another book the author wrote called Ella Enchanted. I read that book also and it is similar to Fairest. I recommend reading that book first to see if the author's style is similar to yours.

I think everybody should read this book. I think the author added a moral to this book. I think the moral is don't judge a person by what they look like. This applies to the book because Aza is a very ugly girl but she has a beautiful voice and her voice is better than most. But everybody comments on how ugly she is and they don't give Aza a chance so they will never know that Aza is a very nice person and that she as a great voice.

Al Capone Does My Shirts

I'm reading Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko. It's about a boy named Moose who loves to play baseball, but his only obstacle is that he lives on Alcatraz [the home of many convicts]. You will probably like this book if you love baseball or if you're looking for a good book to read.

This book draws you in and makes you want to read more. It has action, suspense and even some sadness. Moose's family doesn't have much money and he has a sister that is mentally disabled. So he always has to look after her, because his parent are working a lot. Their situation makes you feel bad for them, which makes you want to read more and more and never want to stop. That's the way I feel about this book and you might feel the same.

I really really love this book and if you decide you're going to take a pass on this suggestion, you're really missing out. Please give this book a try.  I'll bet you'll find it amazing.

A Swiftly Tilting Planet

Right now I am reading A Swiftly Tilting Planet, by Madeleine L'Engle. After I read this one and Many Waters I will be done with the series. I have already read An Acceptable Time, A Wind In the Door, and A Wrinkle In Time. They're all very good books and she's a very good author if I may say so myself.

So far it is about the same people. There is Calvin, Meg, Charles Wallace, Brandon and all the extra characters from last time. These include the Wizard Girl, the big hairy, creepy, creature and Dr. Louise.

Although it is a great book, I have a few questions: Why is Charles called Charles Wallace even if there was only one Charles? Why is Chuck called Brandon? Maybe, just maybe, I am mixing everyone up with each other, but I don't think I am.

I'm pretty much saying that this book is just as good as the others in the series and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the other books. I hope you decide after reading this post to choose to read the series. I mean, who doesn't like big hairy creatures? Read on!

Artemis Fowl

I am reading Artemis Fowl the Arctic Incident by Eoin Colfer. It is a story about a boy named Artemis Fowl, Artemises bodyguard Butler and the LEPrecon crew trying to save Artemises dad in the Arctic even though his dad is probably. But Artemis won't give up hope.

I like this book because it is a mixture of fantasy/ action/ mystery and comedy. I've got to admit I don't really like to read but when I start reading it I get sucked in and I think the reason I get sucked in is because it feels like I am Artemis Fowl and that im doing all that cool stuff like going to all the different countries. But if I was Artemis Fowl I would also be scared because he deals with goblins and killer trolls like almost every day. But since he does that stuff it makes the story a good story.

This book reminds me of a mix between Harry Potter and any fairy book but a lot more action packed. Artemis Fowl is like those two together because Harry Potter hasa lot of magic but in a different way for example; In Artemis Fowl the fairies use their healing powers to heal someone if they get injured. In Harry Potter they use their magic to make potions and spells.

Artemis Fowl is a great book and im sure that if anyone else reas it they will be very happy with it. This book is a little bit better than the first one and I hope the next is a little bit better than this one. This is a great read.

How to get the Grrrrrrrrrr......... out of anger

I am loving the book Grrrrrrr....... It helps you to control you anger and how to stand up for yourself. It's basically all about controlling anger. It is helping me a lot. It has many ways of showing you how to get your anger out without hurting anyone. It also tells you how to tell someone you are angry and telling the person that your angry at that you are upset with them without hurting their feelings. One of the reasons I like the book because it acualy works! But it also scares me too because it says if you really don't feel safe call 911. I really was close to running away. But calling 911? I don't get it. But if you are having a struggle with anger pick up the book with both hands carfully and start into the action!

Rules

I have recently read a book called Rules by Cynthia Lord. It is about a girl, Chirstian who's brother, David has autism.  It is called Rules because David has rules he has to follow like "Chew with your mouth closed. She wants a normal brother but she doesn't. Her brother goes to a place called OT. She meets a boy there, Jason. He can not talk so he has note cards that have words on them. When he wants to say something he will flip to the word he wants to say and taps it. If you want to find out the details, read this book! Anyway, this is a great book.

I like it because it because it was
interesting. But at some parts it made me cry because Christian yells at David because she wants a normal brother and she yells "Chew with your mouth closed! No toys in the fish tank! Don't you get it?" Then David starts crying and screaming in between sobs "No toys in the fish tank! Knock on the door before you go in it!"ext. And I just felt so bad for David and Chirstian.

Besides sad parts, this is a great book for anyone. If people find this book in a store or library they should read it!

The Sea of Monsters

I have been reading the Sea of Monsters for about 2 weeks now and I am about to finish it. I  think it is very very good. Rick Riordan is a very good author. The book is about Percy trying to save his friend and the camp that he goes to, so to do that you have to ask for a quest, he asked for a quest but he didn't get it, his arch enemy Clarisse got the quest so he snuck out of the camp with his two best friends and set out for his own quest. I like this book because hooks you in. It is really action packed and I like that also. I hope to finish it soon.

39 Clues 5

I am reading the fifth of the 39 Clues series by Patrick Carman. There is much hype and excitment in this series of mysterys. When I think 39 Clues, I think about just crunching up in my bed and reading the whole night. Really sometimes I feel that I am a character in that book and just living the adventure with 11 year old Dan Cahill and his 14 year old sister, Amy.

All that hype and excitment is only in the first 50 pages of the series. If anyone reads these books, they are in for much more fright, suspense, and drama in Dan and Amy's family history. If anyone out there is a tween boy with a teenage sister, you could totally refer to this book and also relate to it. Dan and Amy travel all around the world and to every famous landmark that you could name. For example, they go to Paris, Tokyo, Austria, Cairo, Korea, Russia, and many more I can't even remember.

This book has great action, adventure and some creepy mysterious things all scrambled in its pages. During some parts my hair was sticking up on my neck. I mean, if this was a movie review I would give it a guy standing up in the chair applauding wildly. Girls might think this is definitely a boy's book because of all the action, but I think anyone of any gender would love this fantastic read.

The Lost Jewels of Nabooti

I am reading
The Lost Jewels of Nabooti by R.A Montgomery. The reason why I am reading a book with such a weird/interesting title is because it is a "choose your own adventure" book, and I love choose your own adventure books. I love them because its like 20 stories in one and I feel like I'm actually in the story! For example, usually an author picks what happens in a book. I mean, sure, I can think what I want to happen, but that might not be the right answer. But in this book, I pick what's going to happen, and that way, I get to be in the book (in a way)!

Another reason I picked this particular "choose your own adventure book" is because I like this website called poptropica, and one of the quests on that website is called Find the Three Lost Jewels of Nabooti, just like this book! Exept in a computer game.

The main character in the book is you, the reader. This is because the auther likes to put the reader in situations where the reader must make their own decisions. There are some other characters such as Morroco, Peter, and Lucy, who help make the story more interesting. Some other characters in this book are named after family members of the author.

Brisingr

Right now I am reading Brisingr by Christopher Paolini,(I know the name looks really weird but its a word in a special language in Eragon Eldest Brisingr.) the third book in the Inheritance series or the third book after Eragon. It is a great book but at times it can be a bit hard to keep track of all the people and the events. Its mainly about a young farm boy dragged into a world of, fighting, treachery, decisions, and a hint of romance. It all started when Eragon found a strange blue stone which was really a dragon egg! Eragon named the newly hatched Dragon Saphira. Eragon and Saphira left his Uncles home in search of the Varden, the only surviving opposition of the evil king Galbatorix. Eragons uncles house was shortly after ran-shacked and his uncle was killed by evil creatures with no heart called Ra-zac.

Brisingr is a book with many unreal creatures such as were-cats, dragons and many other mystic unheard of creatures. Its a book with sword play, archery, and mystic of all, magic. Its a hard read but if your willing to put your time into it it will be a great read. I would recommend it to any other good reader who has read the series. Its really all around a fantastic book.

A Wind In the Door

Right now I am reading A Wind In the Door by Madeleine L'Engle. I accidentally read the last one first so I am a little confused, but I have read An Acceptable Time, A Wrinkle In Time and now A Wind In the Door.
Check Spelling

So far I know that this book is an adventure, fantasy and fiction book with a thrilling story put into it.Check Spelling

So far it is about three children, Meg, Calvin and Polly who explore together. They pick up followers on their way to the palace. The followers include a doctor and a wizard. They have all ventured out, on to and in to obstacles that will stop them from getting to the palace. Featuring a long thin wire they must walk across to make it over a giant ditch, a creepy, hairy, and dangerous creature, and many other crazy obstacles.

This book has a good dose of both adventure and fantasy. This book is one very inspiring book for writers because it includes lots of surprises. Anyone who reads this book will be inspired to read the rest of the series.

This book is absolutely outstanding and I highly recommend this to any book lovers who enjoy stories like this. I have enjoyed all the other Madeleine L'Engle books in the series and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I love this book because of all the excitement. All of the talking back and forth is annoying at times but I like it most of the time and it has great suspension for the reader. This book ROCKS!

The Wild Girls

The book The Wild Girls by Pat Murphy, is about two girls Joan and Sara, nicknamed Newt and Fox, who love nature. They spend all their free time outside talking and playing. Soon after they become friends, they both discover that they love to write stories together and alone.

This book is very realistic because all the characters are facing problems people have in real life, such as Sara meets her mom for the first time in six years and Joan's parents are fighting non stop. One example of a story Joan and Sara wrote together was called The Wild Girls and it was about girls who live in the wild and like to do the same things that Joan and Sara do, like climb trees, go in the creek and build treehouses. They like to write the stories because they are both very imaginative, they like to escape the problems they have at home, they are very good at writing and it's fun for them.

I think the story is very good because it's not your every day book. The characters are different. The book is about nature, everyday problems, and writing stories. I think that everybody should try reading this book and I think that everybody will like it because its interesting, descriptive, and it is very different.

The Sea of Trolls

I am reading a book called The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer. It is a book about a boy named Jack and he is trying to become a bard. A bard is someone that is a rank up from a monk. It is a good book to read if you like magic and stuff out of the ordinary such as giant spiders, sea serpants and giant bear things and much much more. This book is a combination of action, adventure, fantasy/fiction and a tiny bit of mystery. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes a lot of action because there is so much action in this book about 3 quarters of the book is strait action. I picked this book because my favorite type of book is fantasy whats yours? Everybody reading the Percy Jackson sieries would love this one too. I would know. I hope you choose to read this book and if you do I know you will enjoy reading it.

Eragon

I am reading the book Eragon. I really like it. One way to prove that I like it so much is that I read 368 pages in two nights (please don’t think I’m trying to brag). If you do not know any good books to read, read Eragon. I can promise you that you will like this book because it is filled with adventure, bravery and a bit of romance. This book is part of a fabulous series so you will be able enjoy a long time of fun reading.

The book Eragon is about a boy named Eragon. He lives with his uncle and cousin because his parents disappeared right after he was born. They are a poor family and everyone has to do their part to help. Eragon goes into the spine to hunt for dear. The spine is a mysterious place and Eragon is one of the only people who will go into the spine. While he is in the spine, as he is just about to shoot a deer he gets caught by a brilliant flash of light. He is momentarily blinded, but when he could see again he finds a stone. But not just any stone, this was beautiful blue, green stone totally polished with green veins. He brings the stone home with him to show his uncle. His uncle tells him to bring it to the jewelry maker to find out how much it’s worth. The rest of the book I will leave for you to find out.

If you have already read Eragon then you should read Eldest. Eldest is the second book in this series, though I have not read it I know people who have, and liked it. I am optimistic of getting many people to read the book Eragon. I think the only thing I did not like was that it ended with a huge cliffhanger to make you want to read the second book.

Hunger Games

The Hunger Games is a action packed thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book is definitely a 5th grade reading level because there are some gruesome and confusing parts. This book is about a girl named Katniss Everdeen that gets chosen to represent the girl from distract 12 to fight for her life on national TV in what seems like a whole different world.I love this book because every time I went to a book store or the library I have been looking for a book like this and finally my sister read it and went out and bought it because she new I wanted a book like this and now we have the first 2 books of the still developing series. This book is full of heart racing pages and breath taking discoveries.I would recommend this book to any 5th graders out there looking for a new book.I guaranteed who ever is adventurous will like this book.

The Sisters Club Rule of Three

I'm reading The Sisters Club Rule of Three by Megan McDonald. It's the second book in the Sister Club book series. The book is about the three Reel sisters and what happens when two of them try out for the same part in the school musical. Alex is the oldest sister and the actress and drama queen, Stevie is the middle sister, who is the singer in the family and Joey is the youngest sister who is a writer and artist. Each girl is different in her own way and each has her own style and talents.

I like how the author wrote the book with Stevie as the narrator, but then adds in journal entries and drawings by Joey and family plays written by Alex to show each girl's thoughts and feelings.

I connected most to the character Joey because we are both the youngest of three girls, full of energy and sometimes like to annoy our older sisters. I think most 8 to 11 year old girls would like to read The Sisters Club Rule of Three because it's a fun book to read.

The Jaguar Stones

The Jaguar Stones is a series about Max Murphy, a 14 year-old boy who travels to central America to find his parents who are obsessed with Mayan history and culture. Soon his uncle is holding him hostage and he has to dash out into the jungle to escape. Then he meets a modern Maya girl and they get dragged into the whole scheme of finding the 5 Jaguar Stones.

The series is by Jon and Pamela Voelkel. I am reading the first book (it is called Middleworld) in the series, and I believe it is the only book in the series Maggie has. It is a hard read, if you don't like a challenge this is NOT your book. It is SUPER boring in parts, and exciting in other parts. I recommend it if you like challenges and enjoy books that are boring in parts. I hope my review is helpful and will make you read this, but if you don't like challenges or someone has not recommend it I understand.

The London Eye Mystery

This past week I read The London Eye Mystery. This story is about a two young kids, Kat and Ted who  live in London. When their cousin, Salim comes to visit, they take him to the ferris wheel, the London Eye. They got a free ticket from a strange man they didn't know to ride the ferris wheel. Kat and Ted stay behind but Salim got on. They track the pod their cousin is in. When his pod comes down everyone comes out but Salim. Where is he?

I love this book because it’s not so much about the mysterious disappearance, but the intruiging characters and the relationship they share.  Kat and Ted have what their mom calls a “love, hate” relationship. They have very different personalities which leads to disagreement.   Kat likes to skip school and not pay attetion. Ted had never lied before in his life and is very precocious.

One moment they are bickering about who is staying and leaving, the next moment they are praising each other. In the book, Kat almost pushed Ted down, and on the same page Kat told him he was her savior and she could never live without him. All in all, they end up loving each other. The author does a fabulous job making the characters so real, which makes it 100 times better. This book is so fascinating to read and watch the characters grow and develop.

If you have brothers, sisters, cousins or friends that  remind you of this two-sided relationship, then you would probably like this book.

The Mysterious Benedict Society

I am loving The Mysterious Benedict Society so far. I like how the author explains everything so well, it makes you feel like you're inside the book. I think it's probably one of the best books I have ever read. It's a book I think anybody would like.

The Mysterious Benedict Society is about really smart kids who are trying to pass really difficult tests. Only four kids end up passing the test. Something strange I noticed is that everybody who passed every test were either living at an orphanage or were runaways. Then the kids meet Mr. Benedict they person who made the tests. Then they formed a team to go on dangerous missions. They're the only people smart enough to do this.

The reason I picked this book to read is that I saw a lot of people reading it, but they never moved on to the next books in the series. But I'm pretty sure not a lot of people know that it's a series. So I decided to try it. I love it, and I'm definitely going to read the next books in the series.

39 Clues

The book I'm reading is called
39 Clues and it's by Rick Riordan . Although I'm not very far on it I think it's safe to say that the series is going to be great! Speaking of series I think there is four or five. The thing thats different is all of the books but they are all written by different authors.

This is a good book for people that like action adventure with a lot of secrets with maybe some drama for the characters finding out secrets. I really hope some people read these books.

Stuart Little

The book Stuart Little is about a mouse that was a orphan an there was a family that was going to adopt another kid besides George. When they got to the orphan house they did not Know which kid they should pick, then they saw Stuart they know that he was the kid for them when they came home George was so mad at Stuart. Stuart was so happy to meet his now big brother I like I love my brothers.George like making boats with his dad.

The reason I like this book was because it was funny and interesting
. It has some hard words it is a good book to read in class. By the time you read one or two pages you will like to read the rest of the other books of Stuart Little an the author E.B. White has written more really good book that everybody will be good at reading it. I hope that the people that read this is going to like what I wrote of a really good book Stuart Little.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Wild Space

I like this book because it is filled with humor and battles. The characters in this book are warriors and they fight in battles a lot. The main reason I like this book is because it has clones that are warriors and I like the clones because they come in different colors and have awesome weapons. I like the Jedi and they are the generals of the clones and have weapons called light sabers. If you have heard of the new movie the clone wars and liked the movie then I suggest you read this book because it continues the story.

I warn you that there is a lot of death in this book so be cautious when reading this book. I would also recommend to not read this book if you get grossed out about things.

Artemis Fowl

I am enjoying Artemis Fowl because it is action, adventure, fantasy, mystery and a little bit of violence. The fairies and magic aren't real so there's the fantasy. A dwarf shot fire up a gobblin's nose, there's the violence. The action is guns shooting and punch fights. I think that this book is right for me and would be good for other people that are somewhat like me.

This book is about a boy, Artemis Fowl and his bodyguard, Butler. They try to steal the most valuable treasure known to man, the timeless treasure of the fairies. Artemis Fowl is only 12 but is still a genius and a criminal mastermind.

I sort of relate to Artemis Fowl because we are both sly and smart, although he is about 5 or 6 times smarter than I am and 9 or 10 times more sly. Butler and I are not the same at all. First, he's huge and I'm small. Second, compared to him I'm dumb. And third, he calls someone a lot younger than him master.

I've got to say this has been one of the best books I've read in a long time, it has stolen my attention. Because you never know what's going to happen next. With most of the books I read I think "this book is so boring". But with this book I'm actually excited to read it and I wish it just kept on going and going without an ending point. I think that this is a great book and other people should start reading it.

The Fairy's Mastake

I read The Fairy's Mastake it was a very googd book when Rosella found out jewls would full out of her mouth every time she talked I wanted that to happen to me. When Rosella's sister Myrthle had bugs coming out of her mouth when she talked I said to myself I didn't want to be her, but other than that it was a fantastic book. I coudn't put the book down it was so great. I felt like I was in the book.

The Battle of the Labyrinth

I am reading The Battle of the Labyrinth, by Rick Riordan, which is the fourth book in the Percy Jackson series. It is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone! This book is unique, entertaining, and a bit nerve-racking.

In this book Percy and his friends are on a quest in a huge under-ground maze, called the Labyrinth, to stop an evil army from destroying everything Percy cares about. Although when I say it like that, it sounds scary and and boring but believe me, its just the opposite. Its not very gory at all, but its still action packed and exciting.

The reason this book is unique, is because its a perfect blend of Greek Mythology and the modern day. Like the god Dionysus, (god of wine) is wearing a suit and tie when he returns from his long journey. He is not in a toga and sandals, that would be all Greek mythology and no modern!

This book is entertaining because something is always happening to Percy and his friends. They have to fight a lot monsters in order to complete their quest and save their camp - that teaches new half bloods ( half god half human) how to fight and defend themselves.

This book can also be very nerve-racking! One time my mom made me stop reading and go to bed, but I was at a part where a centuar (a half human half horse) was about to be killed! There were other times when Percy was in trouble, and those were the worst cliff hangers!

There is one thing I don't like about Percy, as much as I love these books. I don't like the way he doesn't trust in himself. There was a time in the book where Percy and his friends are about to be killed by a dragon/woman/bat thing and the nararator -a.k.a. Percy- will say: The monster raised her green tinged swords and I new Annabeth and I were out of options. I mean like, come on, you're the son of a Greek God and this is all you can do for yourself!
However I think if you haven't read this book yet, or the series, you should diffinetly read them. I thought I didn't like reading very but I just needed a good book to read. Like this one!

Into the Wild

I really liked the book Into the Wild by Erin Hunter because it is a book about warrior cats and adventure. If you like adventure, action and animals this is the book for you.

The character I most admire is Firepaw (later named Fireheart and then Firestar). I admire him because he is so brave. One time he finds out that his clan-mate Tigerclaw is planning to overthrow the clan leader Bluestar. Instead of running away Firepaw faces him and ends up driving Tigerclaw out of the clan.

Another reason why I admire Firepaw is because he is so adventurous. At the beginning of the book he is a house cat named Rusty. After being attacked by another cat, he finds out that a whole other world of cat clans and territories exists and decides to give up his comfortable "kittypet" life to join Thunderclan. After he enters the clan he changes his name to Firepaw. Once he changes his name, his personality changes too. All of a sudden he is a brave warrior cat and goes on many exciting quests. I think it is interesting how a name can really shape you and determine at least part of a character.

The Invisible Rules of Zoe Lama

The Invisible Rules of Zoe Lama by Tish Cohen is a really great book. I'm only half way through the book and so far I am loving it! It's about a girl named Zoe Lama. She has two BFFIS (best friends in school), Susannah and Laurel. Zoe also has a grandma who's kind of going nuts. There is also a new kid called Maisie who stated to hang out with the ''bad'' girls but Zoe is convincing her to be more like herself.

Zoe's last name is not Lama, but the teachers
call her that because Lama means teacher in another language. She helps other kids if they need tips or advice. She is also a kiss up to some of teachers. That's why shes called Zoe Lama.

The author highlights a lot of interesting things. For example, tips, rules, and voices are highlighted. Some times just a special word. I always get so excited when I come across another highlight.

My favorite character is not Zoe, not Susannah, but its Zoe's grandma. She is really funny when she is losing her mind! For example, Zoe was guiding her to her bed when she asked ''can you get my grandaughter Zoe, she makes wonderful hot cocoa.''

I am having a really grand time reading The Invisible Rules of Zoe Lama.

The Phantom Tollbooth

I am reading the book The Phantom Toll Booth by Norton Juster. It is a story of adventures and things that most people had never even thought of. It also can comfuse you, so read carefully. I like the way the author is creative and uses a wide imangintation.

This main character , Milo , has a mind of his own thats for sure. And he goes on a BIG journey. This book has fantasy characters, a moody boy, some dogs and kings. The setting in this story is in many different places that may seem wierd to Milo but interesting for the reader. This is an old book from 1996 so it is different from other books these days. You might open it and think that it is bad because the pages are old and kind of yellow, but this book is a page turner filled with fun and excitment. I would recomend it.

Nancy Drew: The Hidden Staircase

I am reading Nancy Drew: The Hidden Staircase. The Nancy Drew books are a series of 50 books about an 18 year old girl detective who solves lots of mysteries. This book was published in 1959 which means it's 50 years old. In fact even my mom read these books when she was a kid. I have never read a book this old before but now that I have started to read Nancy Drew I know that even if a book is old people can still like them today.

The story can be funny but creepy at the same. Every time I put in my book mark to take a break from reading, the story is always a cliffhanger. The police never seem to help Nancy when she solves her mysteries, but some of the people that do help her are her dad, her friend Helen, and an old lady named Miss Flora.

I really enjoy this book because you gather clues throughout the book and you can try to solve the mystery yourself.

39 Clues 3

I am reading the third of the 39 Clues series. I would totally suggest these books. It's really cool because there is one author for each book and one book for each clue. So there is a pretty big chance you will find your favorite author on the cover of a 39 Clues book.

These books are very intriging because there is a great mix of mystery, action, adventure, thrill, and fright. Seriously some parts in this book really creep me out. So I think this book would be great for any gender any time. It's really a good read.

Eldest

Right now I am reading Eldest, the second the Inheritance series. Also better known as the book after Eragon. I think Eldest is a great book because, in it there is magic, sword play, fantastic creatures, and great detail. The main three characters are, Eragon, Saphira, and Eragon's brother Roran. The book also includes as I said earlier fantastic creatures such as Elves Dwarfs dragons and many other mystic species.

Long ago there were people called Dragon Riders, people or Elves who learned to use magic and befriended a dragon and together they helped sustain the peace. But a young Rider named Galbatorix lost his Dragon in battle and when the council of the Riders denied him another dragon, he stole a dragon egg and befriended another even younger Rider and together they killed all the other Riders and from that day forward Galbatorix and his evil shades have ruled Alegasia with there iron fists and it is Eragon's duty to defeat Galbatorix and save Alegasia!

The Battle of the Labyrinth

I'm reading The Battle of the Labyrinth which is the fourth book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It's really good. If you're looking for a book that is action packed, filled with Greek Mythology, mythical monsters and sword fighting this book is for you. If your thinking this book is only for boys then you're wrong. This book could be for anyone that wants to read a good book, and even if you don't usually like reading you will like this book.

So far in the book, Percy, the main character, has gone on a quest into a huge labyrinth that goes halfway around the world. He is trying to find the person who created the inside of labyrinth. If you want to find out anything else you will have to read this book.

The Lightning Theif

The book The Lightning Thief is the first book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Its about a boy named Percy Jackson who finds out who his dad is and goes on a quest to find Zeus's missing lightning bolt and bring it back to him.

Its all about Greek mythology. I suggest you lean about the Greek gods and goddesses before you read the book so you can understand it more. I liked how they mixed fiction and non-fiction together so I learned somethings about Greek mythology. I went to Greece last summer and learned all about Greek mythology but in the book I learned still a lot of stuff so you get a lot of information. I really really like the book so far but for me it takes along time to read because i want to get every little detail. If you do read the book you should probably read it slow because there's lots of detail you can miss.

I'm really enjoying this book and I hope you will too.

The Lightning Thief

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is the first book out of the series of Percy Jackson and The Olympians. This book has Greek gods, satyrs, hell hounds, furies, etc. This book is about Percy Jackson finding out his father is a Greek god, Poseidon. Percy must go on a quest to find out who stole Zeus' lightning bolt and bring it back to him.

I can not stop reading this book! If you like action and Greek myths, you will LOVE this book like I do. You really get hooked in and you can not stop reading! You feel like your really in the book because Rick Riordan (the author) really describes everything. My Two advices to you is learn a little about the Greek gods before you read this book and do not judge this book by its cover. When I first saw this book I said to myself, wow this book looks boyish and bad. But after I read twenty pages I said to myself, Oh my god! This book is SO good! Everything else is have fun and enjoy the book!

P.S. Rick Riordan is the best author ever!
