The Number Devil is about a kid named Robert, who has trouble with multiplication but is lucky to have a special, I guess, a gift. The gift isn't a toy or a pet,it is a little devil. The devil isn't isn't a bad guy,but he teaches Robert some multiplication like the rutabaga of 2 and he also teaches Robert about exponents. Some people would probably think that The Number Devil is a boring book, but it teaches people stuff they didn't know before in a totally new way. This book is from the author Hans Magnus Enzensberger and the illustrations are from Rotraut Susanne Berner. He might have wrote this book in a different language because it was translated by Michael Henry Heim.

Y2K-9

Y2K-9, The Dog Who Saved the World is a book by Todd Strasser. Y2K was the start of the century 2000. Saying Y2K-9 out loud sounds like "Why to Canine." Pun intended, the message to Byte (the dog) was about Y2K. If you want to find out more, you gotta' read it.

Byte reminds me of my teenage cousin, but obviously, he is not a dog. They both go onto chat rooms. Oops! Gave some of the story away, but at least it's not important. They meet interesting people but they don't really know them, because they can't see them. In this story, Byte meets people who become his friends, without them realizing Byte is a dog. It's safe to say that my cousin doesn't meet many golden retrievers in a chat room.

The old lady in this story reminds me of Amanda Young in the book Honus and Me. Young doesn't do the same kind of stuff Foxybabe (the old lady) does, but they are both very old. They both get surprised as their stories develop. Byte also meets a teenager named Richgirl and a guy in his mid-twenties named Buffhunk, who help him on his adventure.

I hope some day I have a chance to solve a crime with a golden retriever!

The Paerfect Pair

I read The Perfect Pair by Madonna. It was a great book, because it is about a girl named Nicole she gets paired up with a boy that is really good at soccer named Jammie but he is really bad at sience.Another boy named Jude who got in first place in the sience fair at the end of the book they dance together at the valintin's day dance.

But at the end of the book at the sience fair Nicole and Jammie won and they went to the dance, Nicole was wearing a yellow dress and Jammie was wering a blue suit. I think this was a really good book because it suprised me because at the end I thought that Nicole would dance with Jammie not Jude.
I'm reading the 39Clues book 2 and I really understand the type of writing the author Gordan Korman uses in his books. My favorite character is either Nellie or Dan because Nellie is able to speak many different languages and Dan is similar to me because he is impatient and hates visiting museums.

I like the second book more than the first because it has more cliffhangers and Nellie is cooler in the second one because she drives more crazy and she actually knows about the 39Clues. Whenever I read this book I think of the TV show called Wipeout which is a game show where people go through obstacles and try to stay alive. I think they are similar because there both intense and interesting.

In the second book the Holt's (a competitor in the 39Clues) are trying to kill Amy and Dan which makes the book more exciting and I hope it is like that in the third book.

Ghost Of Fossil Glen

I am reading The Ghost of Fossil Glen by Cynthia Defelice. It is about a girl named Allie who is some how being haunted by a Ghost. Allie is trying to figure out what is persuing her and why it is following her. Her friend Dub is helping her and is very interested in this situation.

I've got to admit I wouldn't have picked up this book if my sister did'nt recommend it to me but so far it turned out to be a great book. This book is creepy and it relates to real life sometimes. For example she keeps on hearing a voice that is giving her directions. She also goes to school and deals with some of the same stuff we do. On most of the pages she is angst and she would be nirvana to get that voice out of her head. I wish this book could just keep o going and going without an ending point.

I love this book and I am in nirvana to know that a sequal is after this book. I love how the author makes it seem so real. This is the best book I've ever read. Mostly I like this book because the story line is not confusing to me and you never know what is going to happen.I am excited to finish this fantastic book.

Because Of Winn-Dixie

I read Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo, it's a great book and I really enjoyed it. This book is about a girl named Opel whose mom left her at an early age.  Opel never knew her mom, and because of this I felt bad for her. One day she was at the grocery store where there was a dog running around like crazy.  When the manager finally caught the dog, he said "WHOSE DOG IS THIS!"   Opel said "He's mine." Even though this wasn't true, Opel didn't want the manager to hurt the dog. Those words changed her life.

I really thought this book was amazing. When I was reading I could never stop.  As proof I read this book in five days, and I don't even love to read that much.  Also, it would usually takes me a month or so to finish a book if it wasn't that interesting.
Along the way in the story Opel meets a man named Otis.  I felt bad for Otis because he was thrown in jail.  He was thrown in jail because he hit a police officer.  Otis hit the police officer because they tried to put handcuffs on him.  They tried handcuffing him because he wouldn't stop playing his guitar even though they told him to stop.  The reason this makes me feel bad for Otis is because I think Otis should be able to play his guitar wherever he is.

The last thing I want to share about Because of Winn-Dixie is how much the main character, Opel, made me sad and happy.  Opel had a hard time without her mother being with her, but Opel made a lot of friends once she meet the dog named Winn-Dixie.

Two Minute Drill

Two Minute Drill is a book about a new kid in school and he has a secret talent at football, he can kick better than any one he knows. He has one friend in school and his friend doesn't tell that he can kick so well. When he joined the school football team the kids in school were shocked. Other than being a good kicker in foot ball he is smarter than ten people together. I have not yet finished the book but when I do I will blog soon.

Because of Winn-Dixie

The book Because of Winn-Dixie is a great book to read at home or in class. The book takes place about a dog named Winn-Dixie and A boy that tries to find his mother. The boy and Winn-Dixie are really good friends. Winn-Dixie hats thunder storms so he get really crazy about them. Then there was a really big thunder storm Winn-Dixie got lost and ran away the boy searched and searched but nothing. So it can be sometime a mystery or not??

My opinion of the book is that it was a great book because it has mystery and a little bet of nonfiction. Another thing about this book is that it is a good level for plenty of people. I also recommend this book at the people that read my blogs.

A Smart Girl's Guide to Friendship Troubles

I am reading this book called A Smart Girl's Guide to Friendship Troubles by Pattie Kelley Criswell and illustrated by Angela Martini. It is a picture book, but it is a informational book that is trying to teach the reader how to solve friendship troubles. This is not a chapter book, but it has sections like, all about friends, friendship hot spots, working it out, and more. I really like this book because it teaches me about friendship problems I have in a fun manner by having people write their stories and sending it to them. Then it says how to solve there issues. Another reason is that is has bright pictures, colorful text, and informational writing. It is a very good book and I think anyone should read it.

39 Clues Book 2/3

I'm on my final pages of the book 2 of the 39 clues series by Gordon Korman. Also the setting takes place in Austria Germany. And they thought it was the most wonderful place they've ever seen,I've been to Austria and I didn't think it was that wonderful at all. It also took place in a lot of water places mostly like water parks.

They have been to the canals of germany and the way they got across the canals or travel down them, they would steel a boat. Thats the thing that I like is the humor heres some funny lines that were in the book "Maybe we should steel another boat," "And the father of the bride almost tumbled over board," well that one was kinda funny in a sad way "you mean stand on your head and spit nickels kinda crazy,?" and "let them eat cake" and Dan made a face "You can get famous for that" and thats All I read so far in the book.

--The End

Zoe Lama

Zoe Lama is a hero to most people. The day she got famous for being "Zoe Lama" she made a bully cry and get all his bad feelings come out. It was amazing because she was like a theripist. I would pay for a friend like that. And Lama as in the Dali Lama. Now she has kids and teachers ask her questions and tell her things that she can help her with. Zoe ia a pretty strait forward girl and likes to do what ever she wants to. But she does not really get in trouble because she is such a helper to her teacher. So really her life is perfect, I think. But one problem, she does not have a dad. I think all girls deserve to have a dad. She did have one but he died. I think she likes this boy named Riley. Definitly not the one in our class. Zoe has invisible rules that she keeps in her mind. And one of them is "The possibilities for a diaster are endless with balloons." She has a phobia of balloons. I think that is tottaly weird for a person like her. Well sometimes the most perfect person, that you think is perfect always has something weird going on with them. Well I better be of to read now!
p.s. if your parents think that crap is a bad word than don't read this book.

Alcatraz versus the Evil ;Librarians

THIS BOOK IS REALLY WEIRD the reason I have put this statement out to the world is that I truly do believe that this book is one of the weirdest ever written. The name of this book is Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians. Two more reason I made that strange statement is that if a character in a book is named after an inactive jail well that is a little weird in truth. The other is that they say that librarians are evil I mean it is the title of the book now that is weird for you! In this book a boy named Alcatraz Smedry an orphan passed from foster home to foster home, because of his unusual breaking habits (he broke a chicken once he was holding it during a school field trip and when he put it down it lost all its feathers.) he burns down a kitchen. Then gets some sand sent to him from his father he thought to be dead. and finally learn that the world is not as it seems. I think that this book should not be read by somebody with no imagination.

The Secret Order Of theThe Gumm Street Girls

I just finished reading The Secret Order Of The Gumm Street Girls by Elise Primavera and I think it's a great book! It's about four girls, Cat, Pru,Franny and Ivy who go on an adventure. When a wicked witch, Cha Cha, tries to take a pair of ruby red slippers that don't belong to her, the four girls try to get them back before Cha Cha does something bad.

I think The Secret Order Of the Gumm Street Girls is a very good and detailed fantasy book. I really like that the author took the movie The Wizard Of Oz and incorporated it into the book. I think the author was very creative and she kept me at the edge of my seat making me want to read more and more. An example of that would be when you don't know if Cha Cha will get the other ruby red slipper with magical powers. I also really liked how this book is action packed. One of the reasons I really like this book is that there is something happening every second so I never get bored! I think this book is phenomenal, and so different from all the other fantasy books I have read.

I think the author added a moral to this book and that is don't hold grudges on people and give them another chance. This applies to the book because all of the four girls hated each other for something that they all did to each other in the past. They avoided each other until they all got thrown into this mission and they really got to know each other and at the end of the book they all became very close friends.

Witch's Business

I just finished a book called Witch's Business by Diana Wynne Jones. This book wasn't one of my favorite book's but it was very exiting and mysterious. I started reading the book because my sister read this book in 5th grade and she said it was pretty good so that's why I read this book. I also picked it because Halloween is coming up and this book has witch's in it. The book's main characters are Jess and Frank they have the regular brother sister relationships where they get in fights some times, play pranks on each other, and scare each other. This book had some parts that were unpredictable and it had some pars that were very predictable. I like this author because she put's a lot of detail into her book's. Overall I think this book is interesting but I prefer a book that keep's me on the edge of my seat.

The Titan's Curse

The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan is the third book in the Percy Jackson's Olympian series. Percy is on yet another quest to save two half-bloods when Grover sends him a message. He will fight monsters, titans, and go through hilarious adventures, which cause awkward and amusing chapter names.

One of the things I like about Rick Riordan's writing style, is that he puts humor such as funny chapter names that hook me: The Demon Pigeons Attack, I Vaporize my Pre-Algebra Teacher, and I put on a Few Extra Million Pounds. I love it when writers do that because it encourages me to continue reading. Last year I did not find books or authors I really loved. I was always starting but never finishing books. However, Rick Riordan is definitely my favorite author because of his special style.

This books is great for avid readers and especially for people that used to be like me, who weren't so keen on reading for pleasure. I can highly predict you that you will be absorbed in this series as soon as you give it a chance.

Dragon Rider

I am reading Dragon Rider, by Cornelia Funke, and I love it! One of the reasons I love it is because after reading the great series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, this book is a great follow up, with another great story. This book is about how Firedrake and his brethren dragons are scared that they are out of hope when they think that the humans are coming to get their land. Firedrake is the only dragon brave enough to leave the others and go search for the long lost land that the dragons used to live in called The Rim Of Heaven.
I really like the characters in this book. They are all very different in physical characteristics and personality traits. Firedrake is a silver dragon. He is calm, kind, and curious. Sorrel is a brownie. A brownie is a cat/human/other strange thing. Twigleg is a homunculus. That is basically like a tiny person created to serve his or her master and maker. Ben is a human child, though he is on his own. So when he meets Firedrake and helps him get away from the humans, Firedrake decides he can come on their journey. One of the reasons I like these characters is because of the way they talk to each other and how each of their personalities stands out among the rest. Sorrel, for instance is very grumpy, especially when Firedrake decides to bring Ben on the trip with them. Although along the way Sorrel learns to like and respect Ben.
I really like this books genre. I like how it's a little adventure, and fantasy and mystery. It's adventure because, well the book's all about if Firedrake and his friends can complete their quest to save the dragons and bring them to The rim Of Heaven. It's fantasy, because there are mystical creatures like mountain dwarves, elves, dragons, brownies, homunculuses and much more. And it's a little mystery because on this quest they hear this legend about an old golden  dragon that ate other dragons long ago. Mean while a spy, that is there whenever Firedrake has something important to discuss, is reporting back to this golden dragon about the newest things that are happening.
One thing I don't like about this book is that it has small pictures for every chapter title. However, pictures do not necessarily mean that this book is easy to read. I think it is a perfect level of reading. Although the pictures are good and give me a hint of what the author is saying, they kind of ruin my imaginary pictures in my head.
I think this book is a great action packed novel that sucks the reader into the book, never spitting them out until they're finished experiencing this great book!

The Tale of Despereaux

I am reading The Tale of Despereaux, by Kate DiCamillo. Even though I have enjoyed reading this story, I have found the book very complicated. First it talks about one character and then another and then another so it has been hard to keep track of who is who.

Once I understood who each character was, I could focus more on the story. One scene that reminded me of a similar situation in my own life was when Despereaux gets caught by a cook with a knife and seems to have no chance of escaping. This reminds me of the time I got stuck in an elevator between two floors. When I was stuck in the elevator, I felt tiny, helpless and trapped which is exactly how Despereaux feels too. I thought it was interesting that a mouse and I could share the same feelings. I really understood what Despereaux must have felt like and it made him a very real character.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes action, adventure and even romance (don't freak out -- it's not too bad).

Eleven

I am reading the book Eleven , by Lauren Myracle. I like this book because it feels so real, and I feel like this could happen to me in real life. The characters are only eleven when they act like they are 17. In Winnie's point of view the main character if one little thing goes wrong your life is ruined, and everything is stupid to Winnie and her friends. Winnie is an eleven year old girl in 5th grade and she has gotten the best birthday gift from her friend Amanda. But when Winnie and Amanda got to 6th grade Amanda may have grown out of her friendship with Winnie. This book goes by months instead of chapters and I like that so I know what time of year it is. Winnie and Amanda may be eleven, but they are sassy girls.

The Leanin' Dog

I'm reading The Leanin' Dog by K.A.Nuzum. The book is about a girl named Dessa Dean she has a phobia of the outside because when she was young her mom died from frost bite and she's to scared to go outside. One day a scratching came at the door and Dessa Dean's life was changed for ever. When Dessa described the dog she said the dog is fudge colored mostly, but around her neck, like a mane, is a red ruff, but Ruff is not her name. I checked. I like this book because I like books that sound real and the book is really good so far. In the book the dog is a wild dog and the girl always was saying to her dad I want that dog to come back. I have not read that much so far but already I think this book is sad and at the end it's going to be sadder and better. I think this book is already sad because Dessa always talks about her mom and she thinks that her dad thinks she's loony. She always think her dad thinks about her like that. I wouldn't like it inside and she watches all the other kid playing. In the first chapter she tries to go outside but she's to scared to. I think animal lovers would like this book because it can be sad and happy and that's what I like in books.

The Thief Lord

The Thief Lord is a book by Cornelia Funke. This is a book about two kids in italy that ran away from home and now there parents tracking them. My thoughts on this book are wow this book was better than I thought it was going to be in the begining. I mean I thought it was going to be the whole kids go missing dective trys to find them big woop but this story has a whole other side to it. In some books I can preict what is going to happen next but in this book I have no clue and the only way to find out how is to keep reading.

A Mango Shaped Space

A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass is about a thirteen year old girl, Mia, she seems like she could the most normal out of her brother Zach, who counts how many McDonald's hamburgers he's eaten, and her sister Beth who is dieing her hair every time she changes her mood, but no doubt, Mia is the weirdest.

I think Mia is the most different from her brother and sister because when she hears a sound, a letter, a color goes along with it. when nobody knows what her problem is, her parents send her to lots of different doctors until they finally find a doctor that knows what's wrong. She figures out that her problem has a name, synthesia. She meets other people who have this problem and figures out that different people there are different colors or pictures that go along with the name or the sound. I like this book because I think it explains that other people can feel different ways, and how people with an illness can feel.

I think what led me to A Mango Shaped Space was probably Wendy Mass. I read Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life also by Wendy Mass and I thought it was fantastic! I'm almost done with A Mango Shaped Space because my head was buried in that book, and I think my head is going to be buried in another book by Wendy Mass. And I think you should read it.

Dog Lost

I am reading Dog Lost by Ingrid Lee. When I picked this book up I thought it would be a happy story about a kid who loses his dog then finds him again. But it's quite upsetting and sad because the dog gets beat up and kicked. I feel really bad for the main character Mackenzie because he has no mom, his brother ran away, and his dad is really mean to him.

I decided to read Dog Lost because last year we had book groups and this book was one of the books that a group could read. One thing I like about this book is that the writing isn't too small and it's not too big. For a lot of people this would be a just right reading book. Also, there aren't many unusual or hard-to-spell-out words. I have some questions about this book, but one thing I am really curious about is that Mackenzie says his brother is eight years older then him, but then he says his brother is eleven. And, in his school they said he is in third grade.

There seem to be many twists and turns in the story. For example, first his dad gets him a dog, but then he gives away the dog. I have mixed feelings about this book, but somehow I know it will turn out to be a good and interesting story.

The Lighting Thief

I am reading The Lightning Thief by the great Rick Riordan. He also wrote the first of the 39 Clues (a great series) series, Maze of Bones. If you havn't read this book yet, it's good. It is about Greek mytholigy. Greek mytholigy is very interesting and fun with gods and titans and The Underworld. A guy named Percy Jackson, whoes life is worse enough, starts to get random attacks by monsters. Soon enough he finds his true heritige as son of Posiden, the sea god. Most people would think, ooooo, Greek monsters, but I think this book is very interesting and creepy sometimes. During the beginning, Percy gets attacked by a hellhound and is almost killed. I was scared to death and totally creeped out. my hair was standing up literally. Also during class time, I was so intereaged before Percy's mom was killed by the Minatour. Ben tried to talk but I was to into my book. It is a very intense book as you can tell.

Inkheart

Inkheart

So I was looking for a new book in my class library and I caught something in the corner of my eye it was Inkheart by,Cornelia Funke, it has so far been the one of the better books I've read. I have decided that I will read the whole series because I finished the Time Quintet series.

I don't think many people would like this book because I have a weird taste in books and this book is definitely weird like for instance one key character was read out of a book when Meggie's,the little girl in the story, dad was reading the book and then he,Dustfinger the bad guy, suddenly came into their living room. Another of the key characters name is Silvertounge. Now thats weird!

So if you want to read a awkward book read the book Inkheart. Because of the awkward book I continue to read for hours at a time I just sucked into the book the opposite of what happens in the book, instead of being blasted out I get sucked into the book.

Another thing about the book is that on the page where another chapter starts there is always a sentence or more from another book. Like if it said "Thats how we eat pie."--The Pie book.
It can get so weird with the little paragraphs in the book.

The Lightning Thief

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, is the first book in the Percy Jackson series. This book is based on Greek Mythology. Rick Riordan writes about the underworld, Greek Gods, such as Zeus and Hera, and monsters. Who are the monsters after? Half-bloods.

When I read the title I was thinking, wow, I am not reading this book, it sounds way too scary. But I was convinced because so many people have recommended it. I'm now almost half way through with The Lightning Thief. It is scary, but in a fun and entertaining way. In addition, I think all the detail Rick Riordan put into it is incredible. He described all the different gods in way that I could picture them sitting right next to me. How's that for a book?

This book is action packed and full of adventure, and it has some violent parts too. But also, his writing is funny in some ways. He uses certain words such as, reeked, honey, and scrawny, which don't seem to go with his basic writing, but I laugh at them anyway. So whenever I come across similar words to these words, it brings me into a whole new world full of mystery and excitement.

There is always something going on in The Lightning Thief. I can't stop reading. There are way too many cliffhangers in this book I would not dare to count them. Sometimes I almost fall of my seat wile I'm reading. The Lightning Thief is a wonderful book.

The Titan's Curse

I'm reading The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan. Its the third book in the Percy Jackson series. This book so far has been the best in the series. The series is about a boy named Percy Jackson and his friends that go to a camp called Camp Half-blood, they go on a quest together and save or find something depending what book. In this book so far Percy goes on a quest with some of his friends Thalia, Grover, Bianca di Angelo, and Zoe Nightshade. They are going to find Zoe and Bianca's leader, Artemis. The only reason Percy wanted to go on this quest is to save his friend Annabeth, another one of Percy's friends, but he did not tell that to his friends yet.

This book is really action packed and full of imaginations. Sometimes I don't really like too much action in books because it sometimes gets hard to understand. In this book it has just a little too much action but I still really like this book. Sometimes when I'm reading a series I sort of get bored of it and almost start not really paying attention in what's going on in the book. For me right now feel like I'm about to start to not pay attention, so I think after i finish The Titan's Curse I will try a different book and than come back to the series.

I chose to start this series because when Rick Riordan came to our school last year and talked about the books he wrote, I was not that interested in them. I kind of thought they were boyish and seemed sort of weird. This year I saw some girls reading them and I asked them if they were good and they said yes so I decided I would try it. The first couple of days I thought the book was strange and I thought I would have to quit it. After a week passed it started to get really good and I could not stop reading. I'm so glad I did not judge this book by the cover otherwise I would not of started this really good book. Even though I said I might stop the series, I never said it was not a great book. Its a fabulous book.

In this book for me its hard to really imagine the characters. In the book orders from school you could get this series of books and it showed a picture of Percy. I did not at all imagine that's what he looked like at all. The hardest characters for me to imagine is Annabeth and Thalia. In the book it says Thalia is sort of goth. That just makes it harder for me some reason. Annabeth is also hard for me to imagine. I don't really know why it just is. I'm wondering to myself why are the girls hard for me to imagine.

I think it was my first of second book blog and I mentioned that I thought The Lightning Thief might come out in a movie. Well a couple of days ago I saw a poster of it and that it is really coming out in a movie. I'm so excited to see how they have the characters look like. The people I most want to see is Annabeth, Grover, and Chiron. Those are some people I can't imagine.

I'm so glad I chose this book and without it I would have been struggling on what to read and start to think why am I reading this book, it's so boring or strange. When I think about it I wonder why I did not want to read The Percy Jackson series. I love this book and I hope others will too.

The Titans Curse

I am reading The Titans Curse by Rick Riordan. It is the third book of the series after The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, and now the Titan's Curse. The book is about a boy named Percy Jackson, who is on a quest with 4 other people named Grover, Thalia, Zoe, and Bianca. He is on the quest because they are trying to find Artemis, but Percy also wants to find his best friend Annabeth, but he has not told the others yet.

The book is very intense sometimes because it pulls me in so much. I like Rick Riordan's writing because he really makes the book sound real. The book is very very good. I am about half way through it and I hope to finish it soon.

Fever 1793

I am reading Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. This book is as almost as good as the Percy Jackson and The Olympian series but I still like the other series better than this book (so far!). Plus I'm only on chapter eight. It starts out with a family mother, daughter, grandfather and two servants, Eliza and Polly. Polly got a disease and died and then everybody is starting to die. Some people still don't think its a disease..... but what ever it is I would be gone in there by a... SNAP!

This book is never boring. Theres always something exciting! I personally like action books and exciting books. I just cant read something so pale. I was reading this other book called Lean'in Dog so boring! Couldn't stand it. Had to abandoned it. It was so boring because it just went on and on about a girl wanting to find a dog. I don't like that kind of stuff. Not that I don't like dog books. I do. But not this one.

Laurie Halse Anderson, the author, is good at making me keep on wanting to read more. I have never heard of her but I like her thinking. I wonder if this is a true story? It sounds like it. But anyway Laurie makes me keep on reading more and more I was still reading by... I think around 9:45 pm and my mom kept on saying go to bed but I couldn't just stop reading but I was getting tired so I stopped.

Fever 1793 is a fantastic book to read. I want to read more and more!

The Time Travelers

The book Time Travelers by Linda Buckey-Archer is the first in the Gideon trilogy. On the cover of this book it says that this book should be read by people that love the Harry Potter series, and I agree although the story line of this book is nearly nothing like Harry Potter it has the same sort of feel to it as Harry Potter. Time Travelers is about two kids that go to visit there uncle a scientist. There uncles latest experiment is an antigravaty machine which some how distorts time and sends the two kids all the way from the twenty first century to 1763, hows that for time travel! I think this book is unique because the author has to do some research to find out all that the 17th century people wore, talked like and I think that when she put it all together in really adds to to a cool book! I have never been able to finish my reading when ever I read Time Travelers it makes me fell like I am going back into time with the two kids. I think the two friends have done a fabulous job of sinking in with there surroundings and working with the few things they have to make life worthwhile.

Romeo and Juliet

Just a few days ago I read a book by Manga Shakespeare. This book has a familiar title to most people: Romeo and Juliet (by the way, this book is in comic book form). The book was hard to follow along with, and has some words that are new words for me. Romeo and Juliet is a good, classic true love story. I enjoyed it because it hooked me in and had a great storyboard. I also liked it because it was a story of true love.

Catching Fire

Catching Fire is just like The Hunger games just this time there's some romance. But this book is also a violent, giant rush of a exiting novel that generates nearly constant suspense. One of the thing's that I read before reading this book was online I saw that Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight saga said ''I was so obsessed with the book I had to take it to dinner with me and hide it under the edge of the table so I wouldn't have to stop reading'' I mean you have to admit that really sounds convincing. This book is about a girl named Katniss need's face the capital because there angry and they want revenge. This book is amazing, and I'm pretty sure that anyone who has read this book has fallen in love with the series just like I have.

39 CLUES

I'm reading 39 Clues by Rick Riordan and I am on the first book of the series. I really like this book because it has intense scenes such as when the mansion burned down and Dan and Amy where trying to escape so they did not get killed. I also like how Rick Riordan makes these huge cliffhangers.

Whenever I'm reading this book Dan always reminds me of myself because he has a baseball card collection and so do I. Also, he likes explosions and I'm in love with explosions because I love the noise. One thing different is that he is a complete fiasco in life and I am certainly not.

My favorite character is 100% Nellie because she likes my three favorite things: food, money and entertainment. Dan is my second favorite character because we have similarities such as above.

I'm really looking forward for finishing this book because the second one is supposed to be the best of them all, according to Henry.

39 Clues

I finally finished the book 1 and i'm just starting the 2 book and so far I love it. I don't know if I said this before but theirs a different writting style in these two books, like he said how old they were.

But in the first book there were a lot of action in France likewise getting stuck in a cave filled with bones that had roman numarals but only 3 didn't have them and that was in or I guess under a subway? Then they got stuck in a little whole in the tracks and they barly got out. So thats book one of the thirty nine clues.

Rewards

The book Rewards is a different book then others. This book has many storys. It starts getting harder while I read and read. My favorite story in the book is a story about a quilt. The story is about a quilt and the family passes it all over to the sister, brother and the doters.

I like the book because there are different storys every 20 pages. I also like it because it dose not always stay on the same level. This is a book that I want to finish because some books I do not finish with in my reading.

The Battle Of The Labrynth

I thought that book three, The Titans Curse, was good, but so far this one seems better. For starters, this brings back two characters from the last book, and this one seems much more adventurous. It left me in complete mystery in some parts, and I didn't expect some things in other parts. Now I would request the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, but it's not required to read it. If others would like to read it, I would first finish the book I'm reading right now.

I didn't expect Percy to get stranded on an island. Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson travel from camp half-blood to Manhattan all through a maze. They also run through a lot of problems along the way. This book is pretty sweet, with all the excitement just building up inside of me when I read. I feel like I could read all the books by Rick Riordan, since they probably all are this action-packed. The Percy Jackson series is the only books I know he wrote. Hence the reason that I didn't know about this author before.

The Discovery of America

I picked this book because it is about Geronimo Stilton going through time to stop cats. I like this book because its funny and I love Geronimo Stilton. This book also gives you a little bit of the actual story of Columbus and how he found America. This book is written like a comic just so if any one reads this book they know. I have not yet finished this book so theres not a lot more I can tell but when I do finish I will write more.

The Black Circle

The Black Circle is Book 5 in the 39 Clues series. As with many of the posts out there on Maggie's reading blog, this book is in a series. This series is one of those series that you can't read out of order or you will be seriously confused and quit one of the best book series at the time, just because you read Book cinqo first instead of Book uno. Have I made that clear?

The book, along with the series is exceptionally good, or in other words: absolutely fantastic. It's sort of like National Treasure. National Treasure is a movie that is all about U.S. history, except The 39 Clues is more on world culture and history as opposed to American history. And in The 39 Clues there are about 10 people trying to kill them, as in National Treasure there are only about 2 or 3 people.

I think Irina Spasky is very similar to Irina Spalko from Indiana Jones: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Well, they Are both Russian, they are both KGB agents, and their names are very similar.

The book is hard to put down because it's so good. Something exciting happens every second, whether it's research or Amy and Dan Cahill about to be killed! Dan has a very good memory which helps out. Amy is good at figuring out puzzles. I recommend you read The 39 Clues

Molly Moon

I am reading the book Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism by Georgia Byng. This book is a page turner filled with excitement. The main character Molly Moon is an orphan girl like no other. This book is filled with surprise and hypnotizes me to want to read the rest of the series more and more. When i first saw the cover i thought Molly was a dog, but as I kept reading I figured out that Molly was a human. This author is creative with a smart mind, unlike Molly Moon. A word that caught my eye from the book was, "blotchy." I had never heard of that word before. Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism is a crazy, and good book.

The Sea of Monsters

I'm reading the book The Sea of Monsters from the Percy Jackson series. The author is Rick Riordan. I'm reading the second book in the series. Its about a boy named Percy Jackson who is the son of the god, Poseidon. In the first book he had to go on a quest to find Zeus missing lightning bolt. Now, so far he goes to a new school and on the last day of school something happens and he has to go save Camp Half Blood.

This book is all about Greek Mythology. It has a lot of action and it's pretty funny. The book has all these magical creatures and as the books go on in the series they add more and more creatures. I love the books so far, since its so good you really get hooked even just by reading the back of even the title of a chapter. I want to to keep reading so i can read 100 pages per night but I never have time.

The main characters in the The Sea of Monsters are Annabeth, Percy, Grover, and Tyson. My favorite character is Annabeth because shes the only girl and has a good sense of humor. I think shes smart and always, well maybe 95% of the time has a good attitude. I like all the characters but she is my favorite.

My favorite part about the book is the chapter names, it really gets me hooked and gets me to read a little longer. I like them because there really funny. One of the first chapters in this book was called I play dodge ball with cannibals. I thought that one really got me hooked. Another good chapter was called Demon pigeons attack. That chapter also got me hooked.

I really love this book, and others in the series. If this series sounds interesting I suggest to read about Greek Gods and Goddesses before you start so you can really understand it. If some other people do read it Id read it soon because someone told me they might make a movie of the first book The Lightning Thief.

The Land of The Silver Apples

This is a very very exciting sequel to the book The Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer. It has all the action in the last book plus more. It has more kidnapping more monsters more everything. One thing this book has that I like is The action starts really early. They have monsters on the second page, berseakers to be exact. A berseaker is a human with a wolf head that feels no pain,"pretty scary".
Meanwhile Jack is still on his journey to becoming a bard and going on outragous adventures saving the world from monsters and other creatures such as berseakers demons and much more. Jack also has to save his sister for the second time in a series.
