The Leanin' Dog
I'm reading The Leanin' Dog by K.A.Nuzum. The book is about a girl named Dessa Dean she has a phobia of the outside because when she was young her mom died from frost bite and she's to scared to go outside. One day a scratching came at the door and Dessa Dean's life was changed for ever. When Dessa described the dog she said the dog is fudge colored mostly, but around her neck, like a mane, is a red ruff, but Ruff is not her name. I checked. I like this book because I like books that sound real and the book is really good so far. In the book the dog is a wild dog and the girl always was saying to her dad I want that dog to come back. I have not read that much so far but already I think this book is sad and at the end it's going to be sadder and better. I think this book is already sad because Dessa always talks about her mom and she thinks that her dad thinks she's loony. She always think her dad thinks about her like that. I wouldn't like it inside and she watches all the other kid playing. In the first chapter she tries to go outside but she's to scared to. I think animal lovers would like this book because it can be sad and happy and that's what I like in books.
