The Golden Compass

The Golden Compass tells of a girl named Lyra she lives at Jordan Collage.I like this book because of it's action. There are kidnappers a.k.a.Gobblersand Lyra loves adventure. There is also a basemant which is like a graveyard underground.Lyra, her best friend Roger, and their 2 daemons explore all the parts of Jordan.Other charcters are her uncle, the master, her dad Lord Aseril, and a bunch of other daemons, servents, and scholers. The master has a plan of his own which is to kill Lord Aseril.I would rate this book a 10 because of it's action.

  2. I read the book and I would rate the it the same as Claire, a 10. I rate the book a 10 for the same reason, action but also for the cool things the author put in, for example the golden compass. I thought that the golden compass was intesating because if you learn how to read the compass it could tell you answers through the way of photos. What I wonder is if the golden compass is the most important thing in the book. If not what will or is the most important thing in the book. What do you guys think?

  4. The golden compass sounded very cool and it was cool at the 50 or so pages i guess what I'm trying to say is that if the begging is not that great it is because it was pretty confusing and weird but just hang in there it was a very interesting book and i think that i should see the movie but first you should read the book book read the book first so that i could see the similarities and differences. i would give this book a ranking of 10. I thought it was action packed and a lot of cool things have happened in this book. I wonder if Lord Asreil will be in the chapter called Betrayed?
