The City Of Ember
The City Of Ember is a very great book by Jeanne DuPrau. It takes place underground, and the main characters are Doon and Lina. They find an instruction book of how to escape their city Ember, but unfortunately, some of words and letters were missing. Lina tried to figure out the words, and figured out what the instructions said. She did have some help from friends and family though. After Lina has figured out what the instructions meant, Lina and Doon began the journey to escape Ember. The journey is very difficult because of boating in a paddle boat, having to climb up a wall which took several hours. Finally, Doon, Lina, and one of Lina's family members make it out of Ember and send a letter saying how to escape Ember, and some one finds it. The book ends there, so you have to read the next book in the series to find out what happens.

The city of ember sounds like a great book to read because it probably has a lot of action and maybe some mystery. I did not know that that book was a series.
ReplyDeleteI've read the City of Ember and it is a fantastic book. I love it and when I was reading it I couldn't stop! I just wanted to keep reading forever. It was amazing and it sucked me in and I couldn't get out and before I knew it I had already finished it. I looked in the back of the book for a sequal and sure enough there it was, The People of Sparks. You have to read the City of Ember first or else you will be lost.
