Nancy Drew The Ringmasters Seceret

Almost everybody knows about this series, but does everyone know that there is no such person as Carolyn Keene the author, and that there were a bunch of writers who wrote the series all together and decided to call her Carolyn Keene? Well I didn't until a few weeks ago.

I enjoy reading mysteries and especially Nancy Drew's, because this series is very interesting, exciting and very detailed. If you read them you will notice that Nancy is very polite and calls a lot of people dears. I think that. that is really sweet of her. My favorite character is Nancy because like I said before, she is really sweet to others, she has a wonderful, sense of humor which always makes a book good and she is really brave and tries to help her friends. I also enjoy reading about Hannah Gruen, Nancy's maid. It's so weird to read about her when she is asked to do something, because now in Mill Valley NOBODY has them.

I have a connection, in this book she learn's to trick ride horses then gets to go to the circus and I ride horses and will once in a while vault. I recommend this book/series to children who like a lot of action and mystery.

  1. OMG! I had no idea that Carolyn Keene was really a group of authors! I read every one of these books when I was in 5th grade, and I thought that she was the best author ever. Oops!

I loved these books because, while Nancy was kind and polite, she was also clever. Where I grew up, back in the olden days, girls weren't considered to be as smart as boys, so I liked the idea that girls could have brains, too.

I tried to read The Hardy Boys series, which is basically boy-version of the Nancy Drew series, but I never really could get into it.

  2. Haley,

I have once read or a little bit of the Nancy Drew seires well the first book the Serect of the Old clock, but the reason I put the book down is because at first I couldn't really say the words correctly, but that was a while ago... so I liked the book a lot! and I also agree that Nancy was a very polite girl and well recpected kid and when you read about her you wish that she was real and she could be your friend, it seems that you could trust her and she can keep a secret from anyone else. If I were Nancy's good friend and I went a long with her on her great mystries that would be a fantastic trip! so I probley would or like to get back into one of thoses book someday.

  3. I kind of argee with you Courtney, the fist time I tried to read this series, I couldn't say some of the words because they were to challenging for me. I tried again and they were perfect. It seems to me that each one I read is better then the one before then. When did this series come out. COurtney, when you said that you would be friends with her if she was really alive, I TOTALLY agree with you. It would be SO much fun and maybe even a little scary to go on mysteries with her.
