The People of Sparks

At first when I was reading The People of Sparks, I was a little confused, not knowing who any of the characters were. The People of Sparks is the sequel to The City of Ember, and when I started The People of Sparks there weren't any of the same characters, and I didn't know where the setting was either. So pretty much what I'm saying is that in the beginning of The People of Sparks it was very confusing, or undetermined you might say.

As the book went on, the book started to make more and more sense. The main characters were mentioned, and they became part of the action too. Well, I don't know if they were part of the action actually, but that's just because there wasn't any. The book got more interesting as you got farther into it. The characters started to do more, and the plot became hotly anticipated.

If you have read the Ember books, you might of noticed this too, but to me it stood out. All books in the Ember series have titles that are The Blank of Blank. They are all called The Something of Something. I notice this as similarities, and I think it might be a style of the authors writing.

The People of Sparks is a great book so far, and if you're looking for a good book to read, I sure hope you choose this one!

  1. this book looks like a good book to read at bed and as a "bedtime story" to me.

  2. I read the People of Sparks and I liked it a lot. I don't know which book I liked better. The City of Ember or the sequal The People of Sparks. They were both interesting books so I liked them. And they both have a lot of things happening that all link together and when you start thinking about them you sort of start picking and choosing the different characters that you like and characters you don't like. I didn't like Liza's boyfriend Lubert from the description but you might have a different opinion and I think anybody should read The City of Ember and then The People of Sparks.
