Wolf Brother

Wolf brother is an extremely exiting book about 3 characters, Wolf, Torak, and Renn. This book is full of action and friendship. Torak found Wolf after a terrible thing, a bear killed Toraks father and not just any old bear a demon bear. Before he died Torak swore an oath to find the Spirit Mountian or die trying. Torak and Wolf run into a RavenClan patrol and meet Renn then all this extrordenaty stuff happens in the RavenClan camp and Torak finds out that he's The Listener! There is a prophecy that tells it all. A shadow attacks the forest. None can stand against it. Then comes the Listener. He fights with air, and speaks in silence. Torak has a whistle that only Wolf can hear, and he has to fight a battle with Hord, Renn's brother, to live, and he uses steam. But along the way to the mountians with Renn and Wolf there is some thing else, the Nanuk. I won't tell you more because I don't want to give it away.
This book is great because I love to think and my mind is always spining when i read this. It gives me great ideas for different things like, I love to write about nature and this takes place in nature! I am crazy about reading and I read for hours when I get a good book and this is one of them! I really enjoyed this book and I hope you maybe try it too! As I said before this book is full of friendship Torak gets to be best friends with Renn and Wolf as always there too. I hope as you read you notice some of the things I have said and can also think about it in your own way.

  1. I read this book last summer, and I loved it, too. I think that the author really captures how people must have lived in those times, plus it was an exciting story! I especially liked the epilogue at the end of the book because it explained the historical context.

After I read Wolf Brother, I wanted to read the next book in the series, but I chickened out. You know how sometimes a sequel is disappointing? Well, I didn't want to spoil Wolf Brother by being disappointed. If anyone has read the sequel, I'd be interested to know if you think it measures up to Wolf Brother.

  2. Even though I don't know what the heck your talking about, you have really intrigued me into this book. In fact, I was hoping that they had them at the library!

  3. I really like this book too. One of my favorite parts is when Torak, Wren, and wolf are cornered in the cave. There is a giant demon bear at the only exit to the cave. They barely make it out alive. I thought it was really scary, but I couldn't put the book down until I finished it.

Another one of my favorite parts was when Torak gets to the raven village. He gets into a fight with Wren's brother. I didn't think Torak had a chance. I almost stopped the book right there, but I decided not to. In the end Torak ended up wining the fight. "Phew"

This is a savage page turner and one of my favorite books, and throughout this book you will get really attached to the characters.
