The Book of Story Beginings
First off this book is not a book with a bunch of beginnings that you make up the rest. No, no, no, that's what's the book is manly about. See there is this boy named Oscar, he found a book, it was called the book of story beginnings, there was a creepy warning in the front, but did he pay attention, I bet you can guess. Because of this book he becomes lost in it's stories, until his sister re-dreams what happens and then in Lucy, ( Oscar's great niece) gets dragged into the adventure a long with him. She finds the book to, ( wow it must run in their family to not pay attention to warnings) then she right's a story and accidentally brings Oscar years into the future. Will they save Millie, Captain Mack, the entire Cat'n'berd Island, each other, Tom, and so many others? Well, you'll just have to read it for your self. But realize that before you read it you are dragging yourself into an ever going (until you finish that is) story. It really dragged me in because of how "around every bend in the mountain side you find and new" oasis you could say. I really liked it because it was so adventurous.

ReplyDeleteDo you relate in any way to any of the characters? I would like to hear more about how you interact with the book as you read it.
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds really good! I love reading books like that. it sound really interesting when they go into the future, what was it like in the future? I picture the future with tall bildings, advanced tenology, and robots. I wonder if the author of the book saw the future like I did. How do you picture the future? I sometimes think about what will the future have in common with the present. What do you think?

ReplyDeleteThat book sounds so good! I love how detailed you were in the post.I would love to read a book like that and i like reading books like how it is in the the future. It also sounds really interesting because the buildings would look so big and the shadow of the building would look like it was about to fall on me!

Well, they don't exactly go into the future, Oscar comes into Lucy's time. But that throws everything off.
ReplyDeleteI think the main way I related to the characters in the book is that they were both really adventurous and so am I.
ReplyDeleteI read this book and loved it. I was suprised to find a story in the book. I thought the book just had the beginings of book the author liked. That would be cool, if we made a book of our favorite story begingings.
ReplyDeleteI am reading The Book Oof Story Beginings. If I could be a chariter I would proly be Lucy. That is because I think it would be very interesting and fun to have a mystery ain the past and go thruogh anadventure of finding your grerat nucle who ran away and being able to make up a story and have it come to life. Whenever I think about a story coming to life it makes me think of a giant pop up book. Lucy the main chariter of the story sleeps in her aunts room. The creepy thing is, her aunts dead. Sleeping in some ones room thats dead would give me the spooks so bad I wouldn't want to go in my room. I don't even like being in grave yards.
